This awesome lip balm is best used for protecting and soothing your lips. While it can also be used on cuticles and sough patches on the skin, it's a bit expensive to use other places on the body very regularly. It's great to use as a base underneath lipstick or lip gloss, and it's wonderful to use on it's own to just add a bit of feminine shine.

If you have dry or chapped lips, this is a wonderful way to clear it up within a day. If your lips aren't chapped or damaged, this lip balm will help to keep them plump and healthy, even in dry or harsh weather. If you're looking for a great new lip balm, this stuff is it!

The ingredients are;
Ingredients: Polyisobutene, Oetyldodecyl Stearoyl Stearate, Beeswax (Cera Alba), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, (Cera Carnauba), Ozokerite, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Tocopheryl Acetate, Phenoxyethanol, Flavor (Aroma), Red 7 Lake (CI 15850:1)

While none of these are very common allergies, you should do a spot test on the inside of your wrist before use just in case you have a negative reaction.

What I really enjoy about this lip balm is the thick consistency. Too often lip balms are goopy or runny, especially after being in my purse all day, but this is very firm. While it takes a bit of rubbing to get a good amount on your finger, and then it takes a few swipes to apply it to your lips, it stays where you put it very well.

Since it is wax based it leaves a bit of film on your lips, but this helps to seal them and prevent the moisture from escaping. After about half an hour the sleek feeling goes away, but you are left with plum, healthy lips that are sill very protected. I personally really like that it goes on smoothly and then stays there for so long.

Unlike some, this isn't sticky when you kiss or rub your lips together. This also makes it great to run lipstick over because it isn't sliding all over and won't goop up your lipstick.

This smells slightly floral-y, but the scent fades after about 15 minutes. The scent reminds me of roses, or at least the 'rose' scent that a lot of perfume and beauty manufacturers use. I am fairly sensitive to scents and didn't find that this gave me a headache or anything like that. I really don't notice the scent much after I put it on because of how light it is, which I personally think is a good thing.

It has no taste at all, but if you lick it it does leave a bit of a waxy feel in your mouth. I would recommend doing your best not to ingest this lip balm, but if you do so when eating or drinking it doesn't taste bad.

Since it only takes a bit of this to glide onto your lips, I feel like this small container will last me a few months or at least until I lose it (a horrible problem that I have with lip care products.) If you tend to lick your lips or have dry, cracked lips in the winter you may run out a bit sooner than those who are using for more preventative measures, but it will still last at least as long as a high quality stick of chapped stick.

When I had more chapped lips (a few days ago) this needed reapplication about once an hour because my lips were dry and soaking up the moisture. Once my lips healed and were back to their healthy selves, this lasts for between 3 and 5 hours after application, of course depending on if you're drinking a lot or kissing a lot.

Speaking of kissing, I kissed my boyfriend while wearing this, and while it did rub off on him and make his lips a bit glossy, he didn't complain about my lips feeling sticky or tacky like he normally does when I wear lip balm.

While you CAN wash this off with soap and water, you really don't need to remove it with the rest of your makeup. It won't smear onto things or stain things so I feel totally confident wearing this to bed.

I really like the cute little tin that this came in. My only qualm is that the black paint and label is fairly easy to scratch off, and that the top is fairly easy to dent. It lists all of the ingredients on the bottom, but on the top it just has the brand logo and the product name.

Something that I've really come to appreciate is how easy it is to open this tin. So many lip balms like this *Cough*bathandbodyworks*cough* are so much more work to open than they're worth, but this just takes a quick tug, twist, and it's off.

This is intended to be applied with your finger and doesn't come with a brush, but if you were so inclined you could apply it that way. I like the finger application and the small size because it makes it super easy to grab and go.

I personally really like this lip balm, and my boyfriend doesn't mind it making it awesome. I really like the subtle shine it gives my lips, perfect for running to class or just hanging out. It makes me feel a bit feminine without dressing up.

I am giving this product 5 stars, and will definitely keep an eye out to snag some more products from this brand. I wish that there was more that I could say about this, but it's taken up residence in my purse and will be re-purchased when I run out or lose it, whichever comes first.
