Greeting card lip balm by Not Soap Radio - review by Airen Wolf

The Greeting Card Lip Balm that I received is a cute way to say thank you to your lovely bridesmaid(s). The line includes a "Most Beautiful Bride", "Best Mom In The World", and "Damsel In De-stress" greeting. I am guessing these are all random colors and fragrances as the Bridesmaid Balm I received is not purple, as is indicated on the site, but pink.

It is a .51 fl oz pot of lovely, soft lip balm that leaves the lips soft and glossy. It works great over lipstick and when worn solo it imparts just the barest hint of color.

Made of castor oil, beeswax, lauryl laurate (an emollient that conditions the lips and provides a silky feel to the lip balm), carnuba wax, flavor and mica (added for light reflecting properties) this isn't a skin product that should cause any allergic reactions.

The gloss is soft, creamy and would be best applied with a lip brush to avoid making a mess of your fingers and for better gloss placement. It melts easily but doesn't run all over the place. When it is put on it feels a bit heavy but it does moisturize the lips very well. It doesn't stay in place very well so care should be taken when putting it on as it is glossy if it's applied heavily.
If you have longer hair be aware that this gloss can catch the strands of hair possibly ruining your look.

The aroma of the variety I was sent reminds me vaguely of strawberries. Not my most favorite scent but not too terrible either. The aroma is very light and sort of vague.

The one I received is pink and not purple as is pictured on the site so be aware that this might be a more random gift than you intend. The flavor is sweet and tastes a bit like drugstore gloss in the strawberry flavor. The real difference is there is no aftertaste and it's not an unpleasant taste.

It will transfer with a kiss and leave a glossy shine to the area you kiss: fair warning!

This balm is very moisturizing but needed to be reapplied and wiped off the corners of the mouth more often than other glosses I have used. It is a very soft and creamy preparation so it's easy to glob on more than you intended which is why a lip brush is a life saver. It will really shine up matte lipstick and the scent is pleasant.

The balm wipes off easily and washes away completely with soap and water. If it is not rinsed away it leaves a sweet taste on the lips for hours.

I loved the cute little pot and the way it left my lips very soft but to be totally honest it smelled and tasted just like the scented/flavored lip glosses I would buy at the drugstore when I was a kid. It makes a great little notion type gift though and the sentiment is great.

This gloss comes in a clear plastic pot with a black plastic lid. The greeting is printed on a paper sticker and is glued to the top of the lid. The ingredient list is printed on the bottom of the jar. It arrives in a light and cute cardboard box with cutouts to display the greeting.

Though the scent and flavor didn't thrill me I do like this little gloss. It melts easily and moisturizes my dry lips very well. I like the way it looks over matte lipstick and can turn a matte day-time look into a sexy night-time look quickly and easily.

This is a nice way to say thanks and show appreciation to the lovely ladies in your life.
