The Knead Me Gift Set by Jimmyjane is an exquisite gift containing the Afterglow massage candle and the Contour M massager. The two can be used together or apart to give a sensuous massage to a partner.

The massager is about 3-1/2" x 3-1/2" x 3-3/4", and made of double-fired glossy white ceramic. It has a rounded top and four rounded feet and holds both cool and warm temperatures well for an added dynamic to any massage. It can be used safely on nearly any surface of the body.

The candle is a 2-1/2" cube made of the same glossy white ceramic as the massager and has a spout on one corner to make pouring the oil out onto the skin or the massager as easy as possible. And although it does melt down quickly, it should burn for over 30 hours.

This would be a great gift for a couple, or a gift to a partner. As a gift, it is subtle enough to be given at a shower or party without fear of embarrassment due to it being a 'sexual' aide. It could be used alone, but it would be difficult to use either product to its full potential without someone to use it with. The candle oil and the massager are both extremely bodysafe so the only allergy concern would really be for those with sensitivities to scents.

The Afterglow candle's wax melts quickly at at a low point into a thick, smooth, massage oil. It will run ever so slightly when poured on the skin but not enough to make a mess. It is slightly greasy but thick enough that reapplication is really not necessary. It leaves skin with a slight sheen and supple enough to massage for quite a while. If there is any oil left on the skin at the end of the massage, it can easily be washed off with soap and water. However, even after washing, the scent of the oil may linger slightly on the skin so this might not be a product to use if you plan on switching to a different perfume shortly afterward.

The oil produced by clean-burning candle contains soy, aloe, jojoba, shea butter, and vitamin E. It is also free of phthalates, parabens, sulfates, and petrochemicals. It melts at body temperature, making it safe for even sensitive skin not to be burned.

The Dark Vanilla afterglow candle is a little lighter and more tropical than one might initially expect. It is not overwhelming but does fill a room quickly. It has almost a twinge of a coconut scent to it. The scent will linger on the skin after a massage with the oil, and even to an extent after washing.

The product is not meant to be eaten and most likely would not be particularly palatable. Same goes for the massager.

Both the massager and the candle are extremely easy to use and low maintenance.

The massager can be used almost anywhere on the body, and with any oil or lotion if you choose not to use the candle with it, or once you use up the candle. It can easily be washed with soap and water and stored anywhere.

The Afterglow candle's oil is a little on the greasy side which means it may need to be rinsed off if it doesn't all absorb into your skin, but at the same time, you will not need to reapply this product during a massage. During a fairly long massage, however, it will absorb entirely into the skin and leaves no waxy residue behind, as other massage candles might. It pours easily out of the candle's spout and if any gets on the outside of the candle, it wipes off with a paper towel. If no wax is poured out of it, the candle will burn for over 30 hours, but since so little (about a half tablespoon) is adequate for a full back massage, even if you use it regularly the candle should last for dozens upon dozens of massages. Should you not want to use the candles for a massage, they also work beautifully simply as decorative candles. The fragrance lasts the life of the candle, it burns evenly, and the glow through the white ceramic cube is absolutely breathtaking.

The packaging is part of what makes this such an incredible set. Each of the items - the candle and the massager - come in their standard, elegant, glossy boxes that include a thick pamphlet of product information. They are nestled together in a black cardboard liner, with a manual for the products, in a thick white cardboard box, about the size of a shoebox. This box is contained in a sparsely decorated white sleeve which is then wrapped elegantly in a thick bright pink satin ribbon. Every piece of the packaging is of the highest quality.

Whether this gift is kept or given as a whole or separated to be two separate gits, the packaging is more than sufficient.

Although this candle's oil is a little on the thick side, I personally think that's optimal for a massage. I'd rather something a little on the thick side than something that needs to be constantly reapplied. I love the way the massager feels against the skin, especially when it's kept cool in comparison to the warm oil. It's an amazing gift for someone you know or just for yourself and your partner, and while both of these products stand out on their own, they are beyond luxurious when paired.
