Pros:
Silky Smooth, perfect amount of shimmer, smells GREAT!
Cons:
A little pricey, although the quality shows.

Use
Cake Hi-light luminous body lotion is, in my opinion, more of an accessory than a beauty product. Sure, it's lotion, but it does more sparkling than moisturizing. By no means am I complaining though. It may not moisturize, but it leaves your skin feeling like you are wearing silk. It would be great to rub on before a night out.
Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity
The lotion is very thick. While it does squirt out of the top of the bottle just fine, it definitely won't drip down your leg while you are trying to rub it in. It rubs in nicely and doesn't feel gross or greasy. It feels silky smooth, and doesn't leave a residue that makes you want to wipe your hands when you are done applying.

Taste / Aroma
So, I didn't taste it... but I swear, I was tempted. It smells like the most DELICIOUS white/vanilla cake EVER! I was under the impression that 'Cake' was only the brand, so the scent completely caught me off guard. My kid walked in the door, and after walking by me, he asked where the cake was, and refused to believe I wasn't hiding one from him. Sitting here now, at the keyboard, it's been about 2 hours since I put it on. I can still smell it plain as day, and it is giving me a sweet tooth. *Pauses to lick fingers*..... What?

Performance
As for the sparkling effect, it is definitely there. I rubbed the lotion from my hands to my elbows, and used the amount you see in the picture below.
My palms were COVERED in sparkle. My arms and the back of my hands had a nice shimmer to them, but you could clearly see that it was more 'glittery' than 'luminescent'. It's not a cheap or tacky look though. It looks very nice and subtle. I tried to capture pics of the sparkly effect, but it was pretty hard to do. I'd say the pics show about half as sparkly as it really was.
I did wash my hands to get the excess sparkle off of my palms, and it was very easy to wash off with just water.

- Absorbs into skin nicely
- Long lasting
Packaging
The bottle came in a very cute pink shimmery box. It had some basic info and the ingredients on it.
The bottle, which is 8.5 ounces, will last a LONG time, as a little goes a long way with this stuff.
The top of the bottle has one of those lids that you push on one side, and the other pops open for the lotion to squirt out.

I truly don't understand how 'extract of cake and sparkly vampires' is not in the list anywhere.

Awesome review! I'm kinda in love with your retro countertop (or whatever that is in the background), btw!
Love that the scent is prominent, but I could do with it being a little less glittery. Thanks for the review!
