Two out of three ain't bad...is it?
This kit is all about appearances, rather than function. The massage oil and bubble bath are much more scented than they are useful. The lube shines, being water based and in a mess free bottle. Unless this is a gift meant to impress, use the money to buy larger bottles of better materials.Published: November 27, 2011
Pros:
Stylized set, the lube comes in a very good bottle.
Cons:
The massage oil burns on sensitive areas, and the bubble bath is weak. Expensive for the volume.
First of all, there seems to be a conflict of tone. This romantic and sensual set is made by the fine people over at Booty Parlor. Now, I get the name Booty Parlor, it’s a fun play on words, but I don’t think it should be displayed so prominently on something encouraging romance. This is just my humble opinion, so I won’t count that against it.
In this set are three different products, each in their own little bottle. It includes bubble bath, massage oil, and lubricant. They are titled Naughty Bubbles, Don’t Stop, and Add Magic, respectively. The packaging is nice enough, although a bit bulky for the size of the bottles. I suspect that was intentional, trying to give the appearance of substance.
The bubble bath is adequate, if a little ineffective. It seems that much of it is dedicated to the scent, rather than the bubbles. As a result, the scent is very strong, but the lather is lacking. To get a decent bubble bath out of it, you’re going to have to use a decent amount. I’d day you’ll get two to three baths max. The scent is very floral, although no one flower sticks out.
The massage oil is sadly, the low point of the set. As with the bubble bath, the scent seems to be prioritized over the functionality. The massage oil is too thin, and does not last very long. It has a tendency to run off and cause a bit of a mess. Also, it’s probably due to the scent, but the lotion is not meant for sensitive skin, or sensitive areas. For me, it caused a bit of burning, which in a sensual massage oil is a deal breaker.
The lube is the one product that stands out. Its water based, so no fears with condoms or sex toys. It’s the right consistency, and lasts well. The spout is a good feature, and the each pump gives you a good amount, not too much or little. As long as you hold it at a good angle, there won’t be any spillover or mess left on the spout. It stays clean, and the bottle will last for a good bit. There’s a cap too, so there aren’t any worries about it spilling while its being stored.
Overall, I can really only say that the bubble bath and lube are worth using, and I wouldn’t say the bubble bath is high quality either. At thirty dollars, you’re paying ten dollars for each tiny bottle. You could easily get larger bottles of each for the same or less. It’s nice to buy everything together in a kit, but this may not be the right kit. The overemphasis on scent, and the burning caused by the massage oil really steer me away from recommending this kit. It’s certainly stylized, so if form is more important the function, this may be a good buy.

Thank you for viewing The romantic rendezvous lovekit – massage kit review page!

Thanks for sharing.
Did you find the massage oil to be sticky as well? I didn't have any burning, but I found it got sticky after a few minutes that made me wanna go crazy.
Good review, your honesty is refreshing.
I think instead of this kit i will order the other set instead(the one with the candle in it). Thanks for sharing this review with us!
I have sensitive skin so the massage oil would NOT work for me at all. That's a darn shame. Thank you though for the review!
Great review! Thanks!
