Valentine's Day Disappointment
Overall, I was a little disappointed in this product. It initially seemed like a great, fun idea, but we realized that we aren't very creative. For use on occasion and in small doses this can be fun, but I might recommend just picking up some chocolate from the grocery store and a paintbrush and using it for this purpose. It will taste better and probably be cheaper.Published: February 22, 2012
Pros:
Nice jar, great smell
Cons:
Not so great taste, requires wipes or soap for cleaning
I got this gift for my partner as a Valentine's Day present. I was really excited to add some sexy fun and explore other senses during foreplay. The jar is very elegant looking, and it comes with a nice sized paintbrush for application. When we first opened it up we could smell the chocolate immediately.
We both dipped our fingers in to taste it. The great smell left me a little disappointed with the taste. Instead of a pure milk chocolate taste, it was more of an imitation chocolate flavor. The consistency was perfect for painting though, thicker but not chalky.
However, we quickly realized that what seemed like a sexy fun treat left us feeling a bit uncreative. Neither of us could quite figure out something "sexy" to paint on the other's skin, especially with only one color-- brown. We stuck to hearts, swirls, and other simple items, but maybe you will have better luck with creativity.
Apart from the less than perfect taste, licking and sucking off the chocolate was a much better experience than painting it on as long as you didn't paint too much at once. Too much paint all over the body in between lickings led to chocolate on our faces, in my hair, and missed spots that ended up on the sheets and blankets. Even after licking it off, the product doesn't completely go away. We found wipes (or soap and water) were necessary before continuing on to the next activity.
After the first time we used this, we put it in the fridge and never thought about it again. After a month we decided to toss it since we weren't sure how long it would last.
Just a warning: do not apply this to your genitalia as the sugars can cause yeast infection. This applies to all food-based foreplay.

Sampler packs?
-
I think it would be really great to see the edible body paints end up in a sampler set :) Like one chocolate, one vanilla, one carmel, etc etc. That would be great! Anyone else agree?

Anyone else agree?I think that would be fun. Maybe have different types of packs too. Like themes. That way you'd get flavors that go well together, and you could have a mix and match kind of thing going on.

nice review
Thanks for the descriptive review! It's disappointing to know the taste is more "imitation" than authentic.
