Very creamy and tooth-pasty!

I had a few negatives on this one. I didn't care for the messy little container and I didn't find the smell/taste of my quite up to par, but I felt it was an effective little cream/lotion and I would buy it again. I would be excited about trying the different flavors.

I ordered the Sensual Mint and it came in a little cardboard box. The box and the actual bottle of creme have the same Japanese prints as their label design. It's a reflection of the Shunga titling but I found it rather conspicuous. I didn't want to leave it out and have anyone see it because it's got people having sex on it and it says "Shunga - Erotic Art" across the top of the bottle. I'll admit I'm a bit of a private person but I still think you could be a little subtler. I mean it's not like it's a lubricant. It's just a massage creme.

Anyhow, that's not very important overall because I very much liked the product. The small screw top container worked very well; the top slides easily and is secure when not in use. The creme inside is just sitting in there for you to scoop out. There is no pump top or dispenser, which is both a negative and positive. I like that you have easy access and you don't have to press down on a pump 3 or 4 times to get the desired amount, but it can get a bit messy. I've been using mine all month long and now there is creme residue all over the screw top and leaking over the sides, begging some clean-up now and again.

The first thing I noticed when I opened it was a very pungent smell. I have the mint so for me it smells just like toothpaste. It also has a thick, greenish body and smooth texture and looks much like toothpaste. I was a little hesitant to slather it all over me but when I did I found it to be creamy, long-lasting, and a very clean, non-oily experience.

My boyfriend and I have been using this ever since I got it, 80% of the time just as a lotion for our feet and hands. It moistures so well and you don't get that oily feeling unless you put way too much on. I think for actual massages I prefer an oil. I like the very long-lasting and slippery feel of the oil, whereas I feel this type of creme is better used as a lotion. But it's all about preference when it comes to what kind of activities you use it for.

The notes say that it is edible but I couldn't really go there. I tried it but it tastes worse than my toothpaste and so I avoided that aspect of it

I think next time I'll try the Cherry, if it's as strong as the mint I'm sure it will smell and maybe taste great.
Follow-up commentary
I still love this cream and find myself wanting to buy more of it. It's the best massage product I've tried so far. Even though I don't find it to be edible at all, I'm not really looking for that aspect anyway. It's very toothpaste mint smelling, and I can see how some people may not like how strong that is. I found it very pleasant myself, and I didn't feel like I was a walking toothbrush after putting it on.
The texture of it was unusual. It's thick and creamy but kind of grainy. There are some granules in the creme, not gritty or hard, but it just provides another layer of sensation. I really liked this texture and feel. On the skin, I still feel like it's light and non-oily. It was long lasting and very moisturizing. In general, the container lasted us for quite a while. It's a fair sized bucket of the stuff.
I'd still recommend this product. It hasn't disappointed me yet, and I still want more.

Ugh. I got this last week and gagged when I opened the film on the top. Idk how I feel about it being mint flavored. A bit too weird for me. I have not actually used it yet so maybe my opinion will change.

Thanks for the great review. I enjoy more "candy like" things and thus will likely enjoy these. Am ordering some. However reading reviews ranging from "gag" on taste, to "candy yum"..has me TOTALLY confused.

Smells like toothpaste? That doesn't sound too appealing. I don't want to smell like Colgate.
