I had high expectations of this product based on reviews, and I was not let down! When I looked at the photo, I had thought the holder for the candle was hard plastic or glass. It was actually quite flexible like silicone. Because of this, after it's lit, if you turn the flame to the wall it will cast through the flexible surface, washing the room in a tinted defused light. The flexible holder also allows you to create an easily controlled down spout for the wax, but I did not find it necessary. Overall, the shape and size was perfect. It looks nice even when set out in a room for decoration. I really liked the light pink hue of the candle holder. It comes in three different colors, based on what scent you choose.

The scent was not overpowering, but still strong. Hanging in the air gently, the rose smelled sweet and floral. The patchouli was somewhat behind the rose scent, giving it a bit of spunk and vigor. It was a relaxing and calming scent.

The wax itself is warm for only a moment, and then quickly adapts to your body temperature. It rests on the skin as a smooth oil, and it's not grainy like most massage candles. It can either be used as a lotion or oil. I used it for both. After a bath I used it for my legs, and it left my skin feeling soft and hydrated. I applied it after shaving, and found it did not cause any irritation or redness. Later, I used it to give my darling a long back massage. He was a bit nervous, fearing the wax would be too hot. But he found it pleasant and also enjoyed the sweet scent of candle.

I give this candle five stars for both pampering yourself, and sharing intimate time with your partner.
