WARNING: May cause cat-like grooming
If having sweet, kissable skin, and smelling delicious enough to eat is your thing, I'd highly recommend this. If you don't like girly frou-frou things, or having a very light layer of product on your skin would irritate you, this may not be for you.Published: October 29, 2011
Pros:
Light on skin
Smells like actual honeysuckle
Great packaging
Doesn't get sticky.

False ingredient list on EF
I remember being a little girl growing up in Hawaii, and stopping on the walk home from school to pick honeysuckle buds from the neighbors yard and suck out the nectar. This is exactly what Kama Sutra's "Sweet Honeysuckle" brought me back to.
The tin it comes in is very high quality, and even traveling with me stuffed in my suitcase to visit my soldier in Texas, it held up well. There is not a dent or scratch, and this was shoved however it would fit, so that alone speaks volumes for the quality. The outside is an olive green, beige, and black medley that doesn't scream "sex toy" at all, and I plan to keep it on my dresser next to the rest of my frou-frou smelly stuff. Inside the tin is a little black velvet bag, and tucked inside of that is a bag with the powder. On top of the bag is the feather applicator.
When I first opened the tin, the scent was somewhat overwhelming and almost off putting, but when I poured it out of the little plastic bag it came in and into the tin, and used the feather applicator to apply it to my skin, the scent became much lighter, and a lot more pleasant.
As I said previously, I used this for the first time visiting my husband in Texas. If you've never been to Texas in the summer, I'd advise you wait, unless sweating like a sinner in church is your bag. I was scared to use this stuff, because I thought I would start sweating and end up gross and sticky. I didn't. I did sweat, don't get me wrong, but I didn't end up sticky.
It smells like real honeysuckle, faint and sweet without being overpowering. It tastes just as good, and when I kissed my arm, (as ridiculous as that sounds) it left a lingering honey taste on my lips. My husband noticed it as well when he was kissing my neck later that day, so it does have staying power, as long as it's not getting washed off.
I use it nearly every day now, just because the scent is nice, and it has a faint shimmer to it. I would suggest not putting it on right after a shower, because it can clump on damp skin. For me, I put it liberally on and around my breasts and cleavage, places that I generally experience more dampness.
I gotta say, I'm more than a little pissed off about the falsely advertised ingredient list, because mine was certainly more than just "Corn Starch, Natural Honey, Fructose, Honeysuckle". Other than this (fairly large) discrepancy, I really enjoyed this purchase.
Ingredients: corn starch modified, glucose, zea mays (corn) starch, honey (mel/miel), silica, honey (miel) extract/extrait de miel, sodium saccharine, fragrance (parfum), sodium benzoate, amyl cinnimal, benzyl alcohol, eugenol, hydroxy citronellal, benzyl salicylate, geraniol, linalool, citronellol, benzyl benzoate.

Follow-up commentary
6 months after original review
For the most part, I still like this product. I don't find myself using it as much in the winter as I did in the summer, simply because I don't get as sweaty, so I don't find myself needing the talc. I never did switch out my canister with EF to get the one that I actually ordered, so I'll never know if this one (and all the added ingredients) is noticeably different from the natural one, but alas.

I meant to ask what is the best flavor? I am interested in the raspberry kiss, but I was wondering what other people thought. Thanks.

Thanks.I've stuck with the honeysuckle, because I loved the way it tasted and I'm picky about flavors, but I'm getting the chocolate with the sweet heart kit, so I may have a new favorite soon.

Thank you for viewing Honey dust – edible powder review page!

Thanks for the full ingredient list. I might grab this one.
Good review! Aren't you supposed to let EF know if there are discrepancies in their listings? It wouldn't hurt to try!
@js, I will do so. I wasn't aware. Thanks for the feedback.
Very nice review, thanks!
Great review, and I agree I'd let them know! It's good that you caught that!
I grew up in New Mexico, so I hear ya on that heat issue! Glad you enjoyed the product! I really want this one!
Wonderful review, I love your style, and I'm really glad to hear how accurately they must have struck the scent!
My partner and I both gag at the taste of saccharine, though (I wonder why they couldn't just have ground up sucrose?), so thanks so much for including the real ingredients list.
Thanks, guys. I did contact customer service, and was informed that they actually have two different (but nearly identical) products, the difference being ... the ingredient list! So, I'm going to be writing my follow-up once I get off my lazy behind and send this one back to switch it out. Sadly, I've been mid-move, and haven't had the time. Thanks for all your feedback
thanks for the review!
Great review! Thanks!
Thanks
thanks for the review.
You're welcome
Good Job
Ah, that sounds fantastic the way you described it. I want this more now! And I'm glad to hear that it tastes good. I'm not from Hawaii, but I have had honeysuckle and it brings back some of the good parts of my childhood.
I love honeysuckle, but so few people know what I'm talking about when I describe sucking the nectar out!
Thanks so much for the excellent review.
Thanks for the review, you made me want to taste honeysuckle!
You're welcome. I'm glad you enjoyed it :>
