Wax On, Wax Off

extremely useful review
I love everything about the Bwarm massage candle. The ingredients are very good for your skin. The warm wax actually feels creamy, holds up well during a massage and absorbs nicely, leaving behind soft skin and just the right amount of scent. And the soft flexible holder is a great idea, making it easy to pour the wax exactly where you want to without worrying about making any messes.
Pros:
Unique holder, wonderful ingredients, leaves skin feeling very soft and smelling great.
Cons:
I just wish it lasted longer, otherwise none.
I have always wanted to try a massage candle ever since I first heard of them, but they do tend to be a bit more expensive than a normal candle. Fortunately I was lucky enough to win a contest that included one. I was so excited to be getting this that I tried it the first night we got it, and I've used it so many times already that I'm going to need a new one soon.
The one that I won was the Bwarm massage candle by Bswish. It comes in three different scents. I requested the amber scent which is a very sexy, warm, kind of spicy, unisex scent. Both my husband and I love it! It is a very sensual scent, perfect for a more erotic massage. All of the ingredients in the Bwarm are very good for your skin. According to b swish the massage candles are made with the highest quality natural cosmetic-grade waxes and other plant extracts. The candle wax consists of coconut oil/wax, soy oil/wax, shea butter, palm wax, beeswax, jojoba oil, aloe vera, vitamin e oil and fragrance.
Massage candles burn at a lower temperature so that the wax is not too hot to pour it directly on the skin. All you have to do is light the candle and wait about 20 minutes until you have a decent sized pool of the oils. I tried it first on my husband, because I can be a big baby about temperatures, so I wanted to make sure it really wasn't too hot. Besides I'm usually the one giving the massages. I poured it on his back first and began to give him a nice back massage. The first thing I noticed was how wonderful the wax felt. It feels like a combination of shea butter, oil and wax on the skin at first, but there's a definite creaminess about it. Once massaged in, you can still feel the softness from the shea butter, but the waxiness disappears completely. And it leaves behind just the right amount of the scent. After giving him a full body massage I decided to try it. I poured it directly onto my breasts (for him to massage in, of course) and I have to say, it felt good. It really is a very nice warm temperature.
A really neat feature of the Bwarm candle is the holder. It is made out of some type of rubbery material and is very soft and flexible. And it is shaped like some type of a scoop that is taller in the back. So when you're ready to use the wax you can do it directly from the holder by just gently squeezing the sides and pouring it out. What is especially great about this is that it doesn't make any messes. You do end up with some left over wax up the inside of the holder, but it's extremely easy to just push it back down to the bottom for next time.
This massage wax is very soft even when it's cold. You can push your finger right into it. What I really like about that is you can take your finger, scoop a tiny bit out and use it for a hand or elbow cream. And this smells much nicer than any hand cream I've ever had.
The Bwarm massage candle can burn up to 10 hours. But that's only if you don't use it for massages. Otherwise it will be much shorter. We're over half way through the one we have now and I will definitely be getting another one. Maybe two, I'd really like to try the fig scent as well.

So far this is still my favorite massage candle. I absolutely love the amber scent! And the massage oil is great. It's only real drawback is that there really isn't a lot of wax/oil and it will run out quicker than most of these types of candles do. But I will definitely replace it once it's gone.

Comparison between Bwarm candle and Jimmyjane Afterglow
-
CuriousKittenI was curious which one people prefer. I'm leaning toward the Bwarm candle because of the design shape, but the Afterglow looks tempting because of the brush. -

Just the smell of the bourbon sends chills down my spine. We love this candle so much I really should write a review. Since I haven't yet I'll tell you the brush is cute but I don't find it very useful except to tickle. The oil from the candle is not really slick but soft and silky. Sounds strange but for me that's better. I don't like to slip off the skin when giving a massage. I light the candle for about 45min and just pour on once it cools for a few mins. You really don't need too much to cover the entire body and it leaves the skin soft not oily. The candle is simple and pretty as would be expected from Jimmyjane. -
Cynthia (aka Miss Cinnamon)I've only tried the Bwarm, but both my boyfriend and I love it. We got the fig scent, and it's the loveliest scent of candle or massage oil I have ever experienced. The shape of the candle holder is great for pouring the oil with no spills, but some leftover wax will dry on the pouring "spout". This does melt off the next time you use the candle, but it can look "messy". It's very nice and light, not oily at all. I haven't tried the Jimmyjane Afterglow, but the Bwarm has been awesome and I don't think you would regret purchasing it.

Great review! Although it seems like the Jimmyjane candle might be better because it is about the same price and the candle is supposed to last longer.
I like the design of the holder. It looks like it makes pouring the melted wax/oil a breeze.
Great review!
Saraid, I agree that the jimmyjane one probably has more in it. And I might try theirs too, because I'm really loving these candles. But I do like the holder on this one better.
Thanks Sammi!
Yeah, I really do like the holder on it. And there are no messes with it.
I love the fig one! Isn't the holder neat?
Have you noticed the scent is also like an air freshener too?
Thanks Mr Sauce!
I really do have to try out the fig. Yes, I love that my bedroom smells like it afterward. Amber is just such an erotic scent!
What does the fig smell like to you?
I was so gonna leave a comment and vote on this review last night but I had been drinking a bit and spilled salsa on my keyboard. Once my husband cleaned it off I forgot.
Anyway, I have to get this candle. About two weeks ago I looked at my husband and said 'I want you to pour candlewax on me'. He let me try on him first, and then he poured it on me. It was so hot! Then it got hotter as the wax dried and trapped the heat under it. For some reason this story was funnier last night when I was drunk.
This is the second awesome review I've seen for this thing and I want it!
LOL! Sorry to hear of your mishap Sarahbear! Yes this is perfect for that type of fun.
Thanks!
Great review. If you hadn't mentioned it I would have assumed the candle holder was a ceramic. This candle seems like something I need to pick up.
Thank you Marriedwithsextoys! Yes it is an interesting candle holder. You probably really would like it.
Awesome. I love the candle holder. Can you buy replacement candles that just go into the original holder for cheaper than the initial buy, or do you have to rebuy it again? Great review.
Thanks MistressKay!
No you do have to rebuy again. But that amber smell is so sexy and the oil is such a nice consistency that it's worth it.
