Weekender kit - sensual kit by Kama Sutra - review by Kiwidragon

Kama Sutra's Weekender Kit is an excellent introduction to Kama Sutra's products.Included in the kit are a feather tickler, Honey Dust, Spearmint Pleasure Balm, Oil of Love, Liquid Love and Sweet Almond Massage Oil. The Honey Dust is corn starch based and melts into the skin easily. The Sweet Almond Massage Oil is almond oil based and absorbs well into the skin without being sticky. The Liquid Love lubricant is water based, as is the Oil of Love. While the Liquid Love is a great, all-around lubricant the Oil of Love is a flavored, warming lubricant that is great for massage and oral play. The Spearmint Pleasure Balm is a cooling gel that also numbs a bit and can be used for causing a...delayed reaction, shall we say. While I have used some of the products (such as the Oil of Love and Liquid Love) alone, the products in the Weekender Kit are best used by couples for special together time.

Honey Dust: The Honey Dust is a very lightweight, cornstarch based powder that floats on air with the slightest breath. Be careful not to breathe too hard when you open up the container!

Spearmint Balm: The cooling Spearmint Balm is a thick gel that doesn't really drip, instead it 'glop' (if that makes sense). Because it is so thick a little can go a long way. It also feels slightly sticky to me.

Oil of Love: The Oil of Love warming lubricant is middle of the road in terms of thickness. It's fairly easy to pour out of the bottle (which is good because you can't squeeze the bottle).

Liquid Love: The Liquid Love is similar in consistency to the Oil of Love.

Sweet Almond Massage Oil: I found this to be a bit thinner than the Oil of Love and Liquid Lubricant and more easy to spread around and soaked into the skin well.

The Liquid Love lubricant has no discernible taste or smell to me. The Sweet Almond Oil has a slight natural/nut smell, but I did not taste it since it is meant as more of a massage oil. The Honey Dust has a lovely, lightly sweet taste and leaves no discernible scent on the skin after being licked off (and believe me, you will want to). The taste isn't overwhelmingly sweet or candy sweet, which I love. The Spearmint Balm has a great, natural mint taste that isn't overly sweet or synthetic. Oral and great breath, now that's a benefit I can get behind! Lastly, the Oil of Love is by far my favorite flavored warming lubricant (I got it in the original variety). The hints of vanilla, chocolate and cinnamon come together to form a richly sweet flavor that doesn't taste synthetic or super sugary. I have fruit flavored lubes that taste so sugary that they often make me feel slightly ill after a while, but not with the Oil of Love. It makes oral into a true dessert!

The Honey Dust tends to brush on lightly and clean off easily, leaving little to no residue. The Sweet Almond Massage Oil soaks easily into the skin and isn't greasy at all. The Liquid Lubricant, which is water based, lasts for maybe about 20 to 30 minutes and is best for vaginal sex, as is the Oil of Love. Both left very little residue and I could live without cleaning it off completely. I found that the Spearmint Balm lasts the least longest, absorbing into the skin more quickly than the other products and being thicker and stickier as well. It doesn't really work as a lubricant for vaginal sex.

Kama Sutra products are always nicely packaged, and the Weekender Kit is no exception. The products come tucked in a gorgeous black box embossed with the Kama Sutra Logo that is the size of a pack of cards. Beautiful and portable. The Kit came with a little insert describing each product and giving suggestions, though no specific instructions were included.

The Spearmint Balm is cooling and the Oil of Love is warming.

The portions in the Weekender Kit are small but it's a great chance to sample Kama Sutra's products to figure out what you like. I found that my favorite product by far is the Oil of Love and I'm excited to buy the full size product. Honestly, the Kit probably won't last you much longer than a weekend away.
