Beauty bronzers face palette - eye shadow by Not Soap Radio - review by NotHereAnymore

My palette is the "Beautiful Bride" palette. It contains the same product and colors in the other two palettes. The cover is very pretty and girly. There is a picture of a bride in white with a pink background. The palette is a nice collection of makeup, but I don't think that it would really be very suitable for a bride.

The palette comes with bronzer in four shades, four shades of lip gloss, and four shades of eyeshadows. It also comes with a mini eyeshadow/lipgloss brush and a mini blush brush. All of the makeup is very shimmery and sparkly, but very neutral. It comes with a built in mirror, making it portable and easy to use.

Phew. I'm not sure what all of those things are (or even what half of them are), but it you are sensitive to talc, beeswax, mica, parabens or anything else listed, this wouldn't be a great product for you.

This would make a nice gift for a friend. It would be great in a goody bag or grab bag. The colors of the eye shadows and lip glosses are neutral and the 4 bronzer tones would be good for a variety of skin tones.

I have to admit, I wasn't very excited about this palette before getting it. It just didn't seem that great. I got two Not Soap Radio products, this and the Minty Breath Freshening Lip Balm. But I have to say, I judged too soon. Both products are great, so much better than I expected.

The eye shadow and the bronzer are silky smooth. Both have a talc base. It feels like powder and is very loose. Applying it is like a dream, it applies smooth and the color is vivid and long lasting. I was shocked at just how pigmented these are. Now, it's not true Sephora quality, but for the price, the quality is amazing. It doesn't take much to get rich color that really stays in place.

The lipgloss too is nice. It didn't really impress me as much as the eyeshadows and bronzers, but it was nice. It's slightly tacky, but not goopy or overly sticky. It's very smooth and goes on easily. It's sticky enough that hair will get caught it in, but not so much that it's bothersome. It's not greasy at all.

The bronzer and the eye shadow smell powdery, like talc. The smell is very faint, however. The lipgloss has no scent to it. There is no taste to the lipgloss. It tastes a bit like Vaseline or a unflavored lipbalm/stick/gloss. I did not try to taste the eyeshadow. It is not safe to ingest.

I have to say that this product performed better than expected. It's not one of those cheap makeup kits for little girls. This one works well enough to actually use everyday! It stays put well and cleans up easily.



The eye shadow really impressed me. The pigments are quite intense and super sparkly. The first color from the top looks like an eggshell white, almost a off white. It goes on very bright. If you use a thin coat it can be more sheer, but if you use a lot, it will be very bright and white. Personally, I like to use this one on the inner corners of my eyes to highlight it. Otherwise, it's a bit too bright. It also makes a nice liner if you use a thin brush and water.

The next color down is a light grape color. It looks like it has a lot of sparkle in the palette, but on the eye it's much more subdued, which is a good thing.It looks really good on the lid. It's probably my least favorite of the bunch, I'm not a huge fan of lighter purples, but I do have to admit that this does look good. It would look good on a lot of different skin tones as well.

I really liked the brown of the palette. It's probably the least sparkly in the group and is a great neutral. It's easy to wear and looks good paired with all of the other colors. It's a nice basic brown with a hint of sparkle--perfect!

The dark aubergine purple was also gorgeous. I love dark purples and this was a great blend of sparkly and smokey. It's great for contouring and lining the eye. Combined with the brown, this would make a great smokey eye.

The bronzer was not much of a bronzer. It was really a blush. It is pink and red tinged and looked ridiculous as a bronzer. But as a blush, it brought a nice "I just had sex" flush to my cheeks. I'm light skinned, so even a little of the bronzer/blush really showed. It was nice to have the four different shades. But, mixed together it produced a nice dusky rose shade that worked really well for my skin tone.

Now, as for the application of the eyeshadow and bronzer. Both were quite chalky. It went on smooth as a dream, but it was also very loose and powdery. You can see the messy palette in the picture. As soon as I touch one of the powders, the particles start falling and contaminating the lipgloss or the rest of my face. Besides that I have no complaints about the shadow or the bronzer. It's highly pigmented, even without primer. Two coats is more than enough for me (eyeshadow) and a full coat is a bit much (bronzer). Without primer it lasts a fairly long time, approximately 5 hours before fading drastically.

The lip gloss, as I've mentioned before is slick and only a little sticky. It's not very pigmented. It goes on quite sheer. They all looked rather similar on my lips. The second down was probably the lightest and the first one was the darkest. The third and the fourth were the most natural. All are sheer and shimmery and sparkly. They don't last very long, but they dry naturally without drying up your lips.

I loved the cover, it was very pretty. I also loved the mirror. It's so helpful! I hate the brushes, however. They're standard makeup palette brushes, but they're just awful to use. The eyeshadow/lipgloss brush is tiny! And it kept getting stuck. The blush brush isn't quite as bad, but the eyeshadow/lipgloss brush was terrible. It got really yucky and stained really fast. I only use the palette with my own brushes now! It's a shame, because it would make a great portable makeup kit!
