Eden toy and body wipes - wipes discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by charmedtomeetyou

I added these to my cart for the first time about a year ago. I thought, "hey, a free gift; why not?" and was expected just another free item that wouldn't thrill me. I add them to each order, and can't imagine not having that pack of wipes next to the bed to clean up a toy before using it or wipe one down after I'm done. It's an easy, simple and effective way to clean up that doesn't require extensive energy or prep. I love them, but if they weren't a free add on, I would possibly wish for more wipes per pack or a bit lower price point.

These wipes come in a packet much like baby wipes do, a plastic pouch with a small opening at the top. The opening is held shut with a resealable flap. The flap on the Eden wipes seals nicely and remains sticky until the 10 wipes are used. The wipe is large enough to clean any toy out there, and has a nice amount of moisture without being dripping wet. The wipes themselves measure around 7 1/2" by 6 3/4", but the size does vary slightly from wipe to wipe. I haven't noticed any extreme size discrepancies, but the few I measured weren't identical.

The ingredients are: Water, Chlorhexidine, Glycerin, Aloe Extract, Vitamin E, Tea Tree Oil

Water - Plain old H2O

Chlorhexidine - This is a chemical antiseptic, used commonly in oral rinses and skin cleansers.

Glycerin - Yes, these wipes do contain glycerin. If you are sensitive to glycerin or choose to avoid it, these wipes won't be something you'll be thrilled about. it is used as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication and as a humectant.

Aloe Extract - This is the usual, well known extract from the aloe vera plant, and is believed to have healing or soothing properties.

Vitamin E - One of the most powerful antioxidants, which neutralize free radicals and prevent cellular damage from occurring.

Tea Tree Oil - Also known as melaleuca oil, this is believed to have antimicrobial, antiviral, anti-fungal and antiseptic properties.

The package these wipes come in isn't discreet. It has the word sex right there in your face. That being said, it's peppy and upbeat looking and certainly catches the eye in a way that appeals to me. I don't leave mine sitting out, but the package is attractive to me.

I find these wipes extremely handy. I have never had a negative reaction to anything in them, and they do seem to get toys very clean. I do still wash my toys quite often with soap and water, so these wipes are more about quick "in the moment" touch ups and not deep cleaning.

The price point is the only point that would scare me away from purchasing these if they were no longer offered as a free gift. I would like to see 15 or 20 wipes for the price. Admittedly, if I needed another couple bucks in my order to qualify for free shipping, these are the first things I'd think of.

The smell is light and not at all unpleasant; sort of an earthy, crisp scent that doesn't bother me at all. I also feel that it's gender neutral.

These are still a staple in my "beside the bed" box. They are easy to use and have no offending chemical or perfume smell. I add them to orders whenever I can!
