Wishing for more
I really wish there would have been more to the Wish candle than just a sweet scent. I wanted to have a horny hubby, not a waxy one. At least he got the benefit of me not being able to leave him alone. How can I when he smells like cake?Published: July 6, 2009
Pros:
Wonderful scent, paraben-free, portable tin.
Cons:
Solidifies quickly, leaves waxy residue, pheromones do nothing.

To tell you the truth, I haven't been using this as a massage candle, just as a regular candle. And the funny thing is, I've found that I don't even have to burn it to keep our bedroom smelling sweet. I just keep the lid off and a gentle sweetness can be smelled throughout the room. Granted, we don't have that big of a bedroom, but I like that the smell is strong enough to scent our bedroom. That means I can make the candle last even longer. ^_^

Many of these candles claim to have the pheromone "benefits", Yet I have not been successful in finding a candle that does any of that. Has anyone else ran into that same issue? Does anyone have a candle they would highly recommend for this purpose?

I had the same problem, if left on the skin too long we were left with that waxy feeling residue and yes quite a yummy smell! It is nice and carries well as far as a massage oil though but the after effects leave you needing a shower. Great review!

Yeah, I don't know about other massage candles, but I wasn't expecting it to set up after only a couple swoops over his back. The thing that was really annoying was how it was pilling. Little wax pills everywhere. Yuck. I do still love the scent.
I'm really wondering about this pheromone thing. I mean, I know it worked for you, Vanilla Impaired, but that was with wine too. Classic Erotica, the company that I mentioned contacted me, also sent me a pheromone spray to test out. That didn't seem to do anything to my hubby either. They sent me something called Perky Panties with pheromones in it too. Haven't tried it out yet. Maybe my hubby just isn't responsive to them.

Yeah. I wouldn't get it again as a massage candle.
Now, getting it and just using it as a regular candle...maybe. Is it just me, or when you check out the dessert scented candles at different stores they smell funny? Especially the chocolate ones. They always smell weird. This is the only candle I've smelled that actually smells like a real dessert. Granted it doesn't actually say that it smells like cake, but it does.
I'm after a candle that has a nice strong smell .. I have massage candles so I'll stick to them rather than be left with a waxy feel.

Wow, the scent sounds amazing, but it's a shame that it doesn't work well for massage. Pilling wax does not sound sexy at all. But I seriously might just get this to make my apartment smell like cake without needing to bake.
That stinks that it didn't really live up to its hype. I LOVE the cake scents! I guess this will just have to be one of those "smellin' sweet" in the bedroom candles. Thanks for the review!
