Hot Love consists of two reusable gel packs that warm up when activated. Bending and cracking the small metal disk that is located in the pack causes a chemical reaction with the liquid. When activated, the liquid will crystallize and begin to heat up.

The gel packs have many different uses. They can be used as aids in sensual massage to give a "hot stone" massage. They can be used to soothe aching muscles. Their compact size makes them great for period cramp relief. They can add some temperature play to your foreplay routine. They can also be used as hand warmers if you're doing anything outdoors during the winter.

They come in a small cardboard box which can be used for storage or travel. The box is pretty discreet and doesn't have any sexual references. It's covered in X's and O's and suggests that they're used for massage. The instructions and warnings are located on the back.

The gel packs are made of a thick vinyl and are filled with a non-toxic liquid. When in liquid form, you can clearly see the disk on the inside. One of them has the word "kisses" and the other has the word "hugs". The liquid is hot pink and turns into a baby pink when crystallized. They have a faint smell of rubber and plastic, but it's only detectable if you press your nose against them. They are each 4 inches in width and weigh 0.5 lbs. The vinyl feels almost velvety, when rubbed against the skin.

Once the disk is cracked, the liquid crystallizes immediately. It starts out pretty hot and might actually be a bit too hot for some at first. I suggest just using it over clothes until it cools down some. In the beginning, the pack is really squishy and fun to play with. It does gradually get firmer and lose heat, as time passes. After 10 minutes, it's pretty hard and no longer squishy. After about 30 minutes, it's no longer hot and then 10 minutes later, it's rock hard and completely cooled down.

Getting them ready for their next use is super easy. Just slip them in a pot of boiling water and let them hang out in there until all the crystals have returned to their liquid state. It usually only takes a few minutes and they'll be nice and toasty afterward for continued use. Remember to never let the water boil dry or to leave them unattended. A pair of metal tongs work the best for removing them from the pot once they're done. The vinyl tends to thin out a bit when boiled so be careful not to puncture them until they've cooled down. After that, they're pretty tough.
