I picked up this gift for my partner around Valentine's Day, because I thought it put a nice little spin on the idea of giving your loved one chocolates for the holiday. This is a product that was designed for hands-on-fun with your partner, and it definitely requires you to get a little dirty. My boyfriend and I used it in the shower, to allow for easier cleanup, but it could be used anywhere as long as it's not on something you would worry about getting dirty. Using it in the shower was a good idea, as any excess that ended up on the walls, curtains, or the ground was easily washed away when the shower head was pointed at it.

Who is this product ideal for you ask? First and for most I would suggest that this is the perfect gift for the chocoholic, as you are able to eat something you truly enjoy off of someone you love. This product is a great idea for new couples who are still getting comfortable with each others bodies, as it allows you to explore each other in a new and exciting way. Next, I would suggest this product for anyone who wants to mix up their foreplay, and doesn't mind a little extra clean up. I think that this product is best suited for a special occasion, because it does require a little extra clean up.

This product contains: Water, White Sugar, Brown Sugar, Dutch Cocoa Powder, Whey Protein Concentrate, Non-Fat Milk, Natural Flavors. The flavors of the "paints" are Chocolate / Cherry / Raspberry / Espresso / Mocha, so if you or your partner has an issue with any of these ingredients, than I would not suggest purchasing the "Body Frosting Gift Crate."

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

The texture was different than I expected it to be; it was smooth and had thickness to it instead of being more liquid based. It was a little thicker than what melted chocolate would be, but not as thick as frosting. I would say that the paint's consistency was comparable to hot fudge. It felt sticky and thick to the touch, almost like a nice thick body cream. I found that the body frosting was not really pourable, as it was so thick. I thought that it was the perfect consistency for its purpose though, because anything less thick wouldn't have stayed on the brush so well. Once you paint it onto your partner it stays on well, unless you are rubbing against one another, in which case it will smear between your two bodies. As previously stated I found it to be sticky, but not to the point where it felt gross sitting on the skin for a prolonged period of time.

Taste / Aroma

Each of the little paint pots smelled and tasted exactly like the flavor that was displayed on the bottle. I thought that each of the paints tasted very yummy, but my hubby on the other hand was not fond of the cherry or raspberry flavors. The aroma of the paints wasn't so strong that it was overpowering, but it was definitely detectable. The taste of it reminded me very much of the hot fudge which you would pour over a sundae.

Performance

How long the product lasts depends on how much of it you use each time you decide to play artist with your partners body. It suggests putting any open and unfinished paint into the refrigerator, and I would suggest this as my boyfriend and I forgot to put one of our paints into the fridge, and it became clumpy. My favorite part about the product was how fun it was, it allows you to reach a whole new level of intimacy with your partner, as you paint on the canvas of their body.

Packaging

The chocolate paints come in cute little jars that reminded me of actual paint jars. The Jars came in a little wooden crate with a bow around it and a paint brush, and it reminded me of the type of fruit basket, or food gift you would give a friend for the holidays. I thought that the packaging was very cute, and added to the overall appeal of the product.

Special Features

This product could probably be used in desserts, or atop them if you or your partner desired to use them for this purpose. This product also makes a great gift, and comes in cute gift like packaging.

Personal comments

This product is intended with those people who have a sweet tooth, and want to get artistic with their intimacy. Personally I would suggest using it in the shower, as it worked so well for my partner and I. Whatever we didn't manage to get off with our tongues, or didn't want to (like what was on the shower curtains) was easily washed away with a little warm water.
Follow-up commentary
The only drawback that I've found with this product is the fact that it ran out! Needless to say I will be purchasing more of it the next time I place an order. I love to use this product with my boyfriend when I have a craving for sweets, or I feel like having a sensual evening with my boyfriend. I still highly recommend this product, and I feel that it would make a great present especially for Valentine's Day as an alternative to the traditional box of chocolates.

Make sure you put any unused leftovers into the fridge as the directions state, because otherwise the frosting becomes chunky with clumps that are more like rock candy than frosting.

Great review, MuffysPinguLove. This chocolate body paint is definitely lovely.

Personally though, I'd prefer just taking some Hershey's Dark Chocolate Syrup and using that. Much cheaper; but this set is nice because it's presented more like a gift. Of course, some whipped cream and chocolate syrup in a nice basket could be a good gift too.

I agree with you, I prefer chocolate syrup and whipped cream for everyday use as it's more reasonable price wise. I suggest this set mostly for gift giving as you said, or if you want to try out some different flavors than what a chocolate syrup can provide you with. Thanks for the compliment on the reviewSmile

Since this does contain sugars, where would you suggest using it? Does the included info suggest to stay away from the genitals? Also, does it have any negative effect on hairier areas?

I would say that it is up to the purchaser as to where they should use it on the body, but I would definitely use caution if using it around the genitalia.
I would definitely be careful using it around the female genitalia area, because of the possibility of yeast infection. Also I would wipe it and or wash it off the male genitalia before intercourse, because of the same reason. I would not leave it on any area of the body for an extended period time, just because I don't like to take chances with leaving anything on that could possibly cause an adverse reaction to the skin. The included info didn't suggest anything about staying away from the genitals. I would suggest for people with sensitive skin to test out the body frosting on a small area of skin before they use it on more sensitive areas of the body, just to make sure that they don't have any kind of reaction. I didn't experience any negative effect on the hairier areas, and I also found that it easily washed off these areas as well.
