You can't buy love
I would not give this card to someone. I do not feel it represents the company in a professional way. I guess I will either use it myself or just use the code for a giveaway.Published: July 26, 2011

Tacky, named "love card", cardboard, not provided with an appropriate card and envelope.
I ordered and received a $25 gift card. I liked the idea of having an actual physical gift card as opposed to just a gift card code to give out. I did not have a specific plan for the card, I just wanted to have it on hand just in case.
It came inside a card with tabs holding the gift card. It did not come with an envelope. There is an envelope pictured on the product page. I would not be willing to give this to someone not in an envelope. I would have to go to the store and purchase a card to put it in. There is nothing sexy about the card or gift card. The illustrations are more whimsical in nature. The card that the gift card is inserted in says on the front "all you need is love". It has unidentifiable pictures of blue blobs with yellow centers. I just don't get it. It's a card to give someone a gift card for sex toy shopping.
The back of the gift card has a bar code on it. It displays the website address and company name and phone number with an indication that you can either go online or call to "redeem" the card. I was surprised that it also includes a link for terms and conditions. www.edenfantasys.com/GiftCard This link simply takes you to the product page where you can purchase gift cards. I was not able to find any terms or conditions on the product page.
The gift card front also says "Love Card". There are many situations that this wording would be inappropriate for. The word "love" is so prominent that unless I loved the person it would be an odd gift. It would be tacky to give to someone who is single and doesn't have a love in their life.

I praise Eden Fantasys to everyone I know both online and in real life. This card does not represent.

Experience
I will admit that my dissatisfaction could easily of been avoided if I had bothered to read the product page. It is accurately pictured and described, except for the missing envelope. It was one of my spur of the moment purchases.

I think I was a little to harsh in my original review. Paper is better.
I'm stand to my original opinion that I don't care for the "LOVE" writing on it. I know that some people like that style. I would probably order one again if they created choices in style. I would prefer it with a naughty picture, focused more on sex then love.

Once in your cart, you can adjust the number up to 20 of each GC value offered.

I'm aware of that. I like to give gift cards. The friends can then buy exactly what they want. This am i bought a card for a friend. As soon as i completed check out,(as an after though),i decided to buy another for a different friend. The system locked me out. If it wasn't so pathetic, it would be laughable. How long has this company been in business?

You could buy the product and send it to them, I guess that's the only option. I'll have to read up and figure out why they stopped it. :( Giving gift cards are so much better because you can be sure the person gets what they want to choose instead of having to choose a product for them and hoping it works for them and in the sex toy (or even lingerie) department, it's VERY hard to be sure.

I am considering getting a friend of mine a few things from Eden for the holidays. I know there are a lot of things on here that she would like, and I got to thinking that I could order some things myself, or just give her a gift card (which seems a bit less personal, but would allow her to shop freely and get herself something naughty and fun). I know that I love getting gift cards! I would especially love an EF gift card! :) I just read some reviews on the gift cards, and I saw that they are paper (I wouldn't have guessed, though that's not a big problem for me). But also, that they all have the same image on them: the retro 60s rainbow trees and clouds Love Card image. I think it would be fun if there were multiple choices. A few with some subtle, but sexy naughty imagery would be awesome! And I know my friends would get more of a kick out of that, especially this one that I am planning my xmas gifts for right now!
Any thoughts? I think some sexy gift cards would be really fun. -
from my review, you know I agree with you on the picture.
I don't know what your shopping budget is, but I like the idea of making your own gift basket and including a gift card in it.
You can also skip the included envelope and get a sexy card that is intended to hold a gift card. There are tons around this time of year.
(and as opposed to gift "basket" a storage container of goodies would be sweet, even if a small one of the basics) (tons of ideas, I spend to much time thinking about sex toys,lol) -

I somehow amassed butt load of gift cards from contests, eden points program, and contributing to the site.
I cant believe that EF actually allows the use of multiple GCs with discounts + shipping + coupon codes in one order! JUST AWESOME! I don't know any other website that does this. Very happy! I saved SO MUCH MONEY.

I think part of why it's paper is cost-effectiveness as well. EF doesn't have any physical store so you don't need to actually be able to swipe the card. You just have to have the card code.
I have mixed feelings about the gift card idea though. On the one hand, if I felt close enough to someone to give them a sex-toy related gift, I'd probably go ahead and just get them a toy I thought they'd like. On the other hand, a gift card could be useful if they wanted their toy possession to be more private. Especially if the toy they most desire is a really expensive one and wish to put the card towards that. I've considering asking for a card for that reason, because I have friends that would be more than happy to birthday/christmas me $25-50 worth of sex toy fun but aren't necessarily willing or capable of spending nearly $200 on the vibe Ive been lusting after most right now. Soooo, I can see both sides, I guess.
