Yummy

It smells as good as the cute bottle makes it look. Indulge from Cake is awesome for day to day use or when trying to smell especially fabulous for a night out. This is a must have for perfume collectors.

Use

Indulge eau du parfum is a perfume for women. This perfume can be used on your skin, hair, clothing, or even around the house. While I personally would not spritz it throughout my home, I have used it on my bedding to make my bed smell delectable. For best results on your body for a general outing, apply to wrists, neck, behind the ears, and cleavage. These sections of your body release a ton of heat and make the smell radiate from you.

The smell of this perfume is distinctly feminine and I do not see any men being interested in wearing it. I also do not see this being a good fit for those with sensitivities to smells. Those who do not enjoy the scent of vanilla will also probably not enjoy this perfume.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This perfume is as thin as water or any other perfume on the market. It does not feel oily, gritty, or greasy. This perfume literally leaves nothing but the smell behind, unlike perfume oils and a few other perfumes sold on Eden. This perfume comes in a push to spray bottle and is thin enough that it sprays with ease. This perfume sprays as a mist and not in a stream.

This perfume does contain alcohol and really excessive use can dry out your skin.

Taste / Aroma

This perfume is the ultimate smell that smells like it would taste good. When I sniff this bottle, or my wrists after applying, the most prominent smell is vanilla, but there are many other smells mixed into this perfume. The second most prominent smell my nose picks up is powdery, but not like baby powder. In a way, the powdery smell reminds me of the Lure for Her Eden used to carry, but this powdery component is much more subtle in Indulge.

There are many other components thrown in there though. There are floral undertones, but they are extremely subtle. Another scent that Indulge reminds me of is that of caramel. This perfume is extremely sweet smelling, but it does not have a taste at all. I did not try licking it when wet, but I did lick my skin after the perfume had dried.

The smell of this perfume is extremely long lasting. If smelled when still wet, this perfume does have a rubbing alcohol smell, but this dissipates quickly.

Performance

I think this perfume performs as well as any other higher shelf perfume. The smell is delicious and, while it is somewhat expensive, I feel it is well worth the cost. The smell is long lasting and a little goes a very long way. This bottle will last me a very long time. The perfume absorbs into skin fairly quickly and leaves no sticky, oily, or greasy residue behind. The smell of this perfume does not rinse off with just water. You will have to use soap and water to rid yourself of this lovely smell.

Here is a size comparison to other perfumes sold on Eden.

I am also pretty happy with the design of this bottle. As you can see from looking at a few of the others sold on this site, some of them are packaged in awkward tubes. Those bottles are always falling over and rolling away. I have to worry that the glass tube they are in will crack or break and I will be stuck cleaning up perfume oil. The bottle this perfume comes in has a flat bottom and requires much more force to be knocked over. It also pleases me that this bottle looks like a perfume bottle and not like something I purchased from a sex shop.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Feels natural
    • Needs to be washed off with soap and water

Packaging

KJH
This perfume comes packaging in a simple pink box that is labeled with the product name, as well as the manufacturer, and that the bottle inside contains 1.7 fluid ounces. Only the front panel pictured has writing on it, the other 5 panels are plain pink. This box is recyclable and should be set out as such after removing your perfume.

The bottle itself is a circular shape made of frosted glass. Stemming from this is a silver spray top with a matching silver lid. The bottle of this bottle is completely flat and the bottle will sit nicely only any shelf in your room. There is nothing sexual written or designed on the bottle. The bottle simply states that this is Indulge from Cake.
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Minimal
    • Recyclable

Personal comments

Since receiving it, this perfume has become one of my favorites and a regular in my rotation of perfumes. I thoroughly enjoy the fact that just a few spritzes and I'm smelling good for at least the next 24 hours. Over time, the smell does weaken, but it is still noticeable.

I could see myself taking this perfume on a trip or to sleepovers and I do not see it leaking at all. If I were to be taking it with me somewhere, I would store with with my clothing since the bottle is glass. I would be pretty heartbroken if it knocked up against something hard and broke. I love the smell, but with how strong it is with just a few sprays, I don't think I could handle an entire spilled bottle.
