A great spreader bar set!
I would definitely recommend the Fetish Fantasy Series Spread 'em Bar and Cuff Set for anyone who is experienced in BDSM or just starting out. With how versatile it is you can easily find many positions to use the set in.Published: February 22, 2012

The Fetish Fantasy Series Spread 'em Bar and Cuff Set is made of metal and neoprene. The bars are very nicely made and are actually hollow with a chain running through them that the cuffs attach to. The ends of the bars have plastic caps to cover the rough metal ends and there isn't any exposed rough material. The long bar has a hook in the very middle of it that attaches a leash to the smaller bar. You can unhook this leash and the smaller bar from the larger bar and use only one or the other. The large bar also has two hooks on either side (as well as the hooks directly on the ends) so you can attach all four cuffs to it. The short bar is also hollow with a chain running through it and plastic caps on each end. It has a hook in the middle so you can detach the leash that holds it to the large bar but there are no additional attachments for cuffs so you can only use two cuffs with the smaller bar.
The cuffs from this set are nicely made but the material isn't my favorite. I consider them to be slightly scratchy and itchy and I was also disappointed in the direction of the velcro. The velcro is attached scratchy side down so if any velcro is exposed it is extremely uncomfortable against your skin. I've used smaller cuffs like these for thigh cuffs and these would fit, but I won't use them on my thighs because of the scratchy velcro being exposed.
The Spread 'em Bar and Cuff Set is fantastic for many different sexual positions. It's very versatile because you can attach and detach at so many places. You can use almost every piece of this set separately or together in so many different ways.

My boyfriend and I use this spreader bar set all the time! We keep finding new ways to hook me to the thing so he can fuck me in more creative positions while I'm restrained. These are amazing. If you don't have them already, you really should! The quality is fantastic, and the cuffs and bars are showing no wear even though we're really rough on them!

Does anybody know if this spreader bar is durable and sturdy enough to be used for suspension?
I'm torn between that one and the Adjustable spreader bar by Kinklab. :( -

Honestly, none of the gear in the "suspension" category is really for suspension, except for the possibility of ropes.
I don't want to take business away from Eden Fantasys, but I do know of a few sites that do carry honest-to-goodness suspension gear (cuffs, boots, bars). Send me a message if you're still looking - I will warn you, though, that suspension gear comes at a premium due to the higher-strength materials required. -

My S.O. was wanting to try spreader bars so thank you for the review, wishlisting it.
Thanks for the review, but I have some questions. Is the bar adjustable? How long can it be or how short? Can you attach your own cuffs to it, or do you have to use the included cuffs? Are these cuffs adjustable and removable? Are there places to attach the bar to something else, say a bed frame or a St Andrew's Cross or even a radiator?

The bars are not adjustable. You can attach your own cuffs if they have hooks on them and they are adjustable and removable. You could definitely hook ONE of the bars to a bed or something like a radiator, but I don't think it would be possible to hook them both at once because you'd be using the leash that hooks one bar to the other.
This was actually one of my first reviews and was written on the first day that I joined Eden. My recent reviews have been muuuch more detailed, I may go back and edit my older reviews since I know what to include now. And I've owned the Fetish Fantasy Series Spreader Bars for almost a year now so I definitely know how they perform over time They're incredibly durable because I'm VERY rough on them!
