Adjustable Fun!
This quickly became my favorite item in our toy box. It is strong and well made, and can be adjusted for comfort (or lack there of...depending on who you are). There are tons of ways to attach restraints, and even more ways to have fun.Published: January 13, 2010
Pros:
Sturdy, Adjustable
Cons:
none
The Adjustable Spreader Bar is amazing to say the least. I had a hell of a time getting my poor review done due to crazy holiday travel at the last minute and being families’ houses, but hey…here you go!
So the spreader bar is 25 inches at its most compact size with a maximum size of about 37 inches long. Now, since this is adjustable you can have your fun…that is in the video review though. You really shouldn’t have to do too much cleaning here, but if you do it is metal, so you can bleach it to sanitize the bar. You can use about anything to connect your restraints…I used ribbon for cuteness, but we also have the clasps (home depot).
I was able to pack this no problem, I just slipped it into the bottom of my suitcase and no one knew a thing, so it is extremely portable. The adjustable spreader bar is a three part bar that slides together and locks using two removable pins. So you can break it down, pack it into a small bag and take it with you when you go out. The smallest length is 25" and the bar extends to 37" long. While it is made of metal, the weight of the bar is not an issue. It is extremely light (not so light that it will bend super easily though). The bar itself is very durable and can take a good amount of thrashing and tugging (good thing too).
On each end is a ring you can connect your restraints to and your limbs will be held apart with no way of putting them together (I tried). It is possible to hook the rings on the pins to your restraints, but...these are lighter weight than a key chain so heavy tugging will likely break them, so this is one of those "for looks only" type of ideas.
The Adjustable Spreader Bar is by far my new favorite toy in my toy box. It is sleek, portable, sexy, and sturdy. What more can we possibly ask for in a toy. This is a great addition to a BDSM kit, especially for a beginner who wants to be able to hide their pieces easily.

Thank you for viewing Adjustable spreader bar – sex toy review page!

A pretty bow? Really?
That's kindaaaa escapable.
The quick-release of it is cool, but my subbie loves to untie. Everything. So that wouldn't work. Cute ribbon though.
Great review, though. I have my first video review coming up in the next couple days (just got the paddle today), so I'm pretty nervous.
Welll, then beat your subbie, silly. I would never dare to untie them
.
Awesome review, glad you liked it!
hey great review!!
We are SO buying a 2nd one so I have one for over head suspension and one for legs...eek! I really should be worried about that, but I'm not!
Great review!
I'm going to have to get this - mine doesn't spread quite so far
Good review!
I love it because it does spread so well, which is why it is so versatile.
Great review! I must say i love the dog in the background lol it cracked me up.
I cut the part out where he was chewing on the bar and I had to play tug of war to get it back
This seems very interesting, great review!
Great review!
great review
Awesome review, thanks. We've been looking for a spreader bar that was JUST the bar — seems like so many of them have permanently-attached restraints of lesser quality than the restraints we ALREADY HAVE! So this would be a great addition to our collection.
great review!
Always wanted to try these. Thanks!
Just saw your v. informative review as I am looking for a spreader bar. As previously noted, we also have a decent collection of cuffs so the cuffs that are included w other restraint systems are unnecessary.
Your vid was so helpful..
awesome review! thanks!
