Devine toy lace box - storage container by DevineToys / AfterCare - review by Nox Vulpes

I had been wanting one of these forever - the sexy lace design and the rich red color drew me in. And, well, I had been using a cheap $2 photo storage box I found at an arts n' craft store to hide my toys from prying eyes. Of course, when I decided to invest in one, they were out of stock, so, I bought this box on impulse as soon as I saw that the color I wanted was back in stock.

When it finally arrived in the mail, I was ecstatic. Once I had my new storage box out of its packaging, I was a little disappointed (especially since the price tag had been $40). It was a lot smaller than I thought it would be. Fortunately, all of my toys could fit inside of it with some stacking room remaining, so no complaints there. Right now I have the following toys inside (with some room remaining for stacking as mentioned before): a Climax Silicone Splash Dolphin, a Cyber Flicker, a SoftTouch Sleeve, an Incognito Lipstick Vibe, a Vivid’s Swirl Marble Vibrator, a Softskins Veined Dildo, and a Crystal Jellies Anal Starter. The Softskins Veined Dildo is the largest toy I have, and it just barely fits at about 8.5 inches.

Honestly this box is all about stacking. So, I would recommend that you keep all of your toys in separate plastic bags (or socks, or whatever you prefer). Also, if you have any Cyberskin (or similar material) toys, make sure they're on the top so they don't start getting smooshed out of shape (I learned this the hard way).

The Devine Toy Lace Box comes with a lock and two keys. They're the same quality as a cheap diary lock. You could easily pick the lock with a paperclip, no effort needed (except for bending the paperclip of course). I haven't had any problems with the keys breaking in the lock or anything like that as of yet.

This storage box doesn't scream "SEX TOYS!" so in that way, it is discreet. Unless someone is snooping around and really MUST see what's in the box, it's safe to leave out on your nightstand or near your bed. Even with the lock secured, however, there is still just enough room to stick your finger underneath the lid and try to peek in.

When you open the box, a satin ribbon will keep the top of the box held in place. I've tugged at it hard to see if it would break, and so far it ain't going nowhere. The box itself is made out of sturdy vinyl on the outside, and is lined with a red satin material (it's probably purple if you order that color instead).

All in all, I've been happy with my purchase and it's still in great condition. I would recommend this box to anyone looking for something small, sexy, and discreet to store their toys in. It's expensive, but it's worth it if you really love the design--otherwise, you could probably find something of similar size for a more affordable price.
