Bladder Control, Better Sex, AND Attractive? Yes, Please!

If you're looking for a great, easy way to strengthen your pelvic muscles and increase bladder control, look no further than the Velvet Plush kegel kit. With 6 weighted combinations and removable silicone harnesses, you're sure to get the most out of this product. Though a little troublesome to clean at times, I consider the extra 40 seconds well worth it. I definitely recommend this kit to anyone looking into kegels or increasing bladder control.

Use

Velvet Plush

The Velvet Plush kit is a versatile 3-weight kegel exerciser. I've got some bladder issues, and using this to tone and strengthen the inner vaginal muscles has helped with those.

The set isn't too big, but not small enough where the eggs can fall out easily. They really must be pulled by the retrieval cord or pushed out.

The set comes with two silicone harnesses which are pretty easy to use, and they're easy to insert and withdraw.

Inside the three included plastic eggs are weighted balls that sort of bounce around when you move. It's an odd feeling at first, but pretty pleasant once you get used to it. I've come to really like it. This bouncing sensation stimulates the sides of the vaginal walls and causes the kegels to contract without you even thinking about it. How convenient? Wear for an hour a day. In six weeks, you should be better able to control your vaginal muscles, and better hold your bladder. I've been wearing mine now for about 2 weeks and I already feel a difference in how long I can contract my muscles.

The eggs are color coded with the lightest shade being the lightest weight, and the darkest shade being the heaviest.

Week 1: Light egg in single harness
Week 2: Medium egg in single harness
Week 3: Dark egg in single harness
Week 4: Light and medium eggs in double harness
Week 5: Light and dark eggs in double harness
Week 6: Medium and dark eggs in double harness.

I also enjoy using these during clitoral stimulation. It's adds a little something.

These are not to be used anally, as there is no base for protection.

Material / Texture

The harnesses are made of thin silicone. I used to be sort of nervous they'd break off, but it hasn't happened yet. They're pretty resilient from what I'm experiencing, even tough they have a great amount of stretch and bend to them, as depicted below.

The weighted eggs are made of plastic.

Both surfaces are very smooth. They're right when they say the "smoothest silicone" - these are so soft, they can be inserted without the use of lube, and they're very comfortable to wear.

There's virtually no scent to these at all.

Design / Shape / Size

Velvet Plush Size

These kegel exercisers are egg-shaped, with egg-shaped harnesses. They're very comfortable to wear: not uncomfortably big, not small enough that they'll easily fall out, and the shape makes this exerciser very comfortable to wear.

The silicone retrieval cords are durable enough that they won't break easily, but soft and pliable enough that you can't really feel them when the harness is inserted.

They're pretty classy as far as the design goes. The harnesses are both the same color, and the eggs are color coded with the lightest shade being the lightest weight, and the darkest shade being the heaviest. Pretty smart, if you ask me- that makes it very easy to distinguish which is which, and makes it easier to use.

Performance

The best thing about this kegel set is the versatility, hands down. With three eggs of differing weights and two harnesses (a single and a double), you're getting a total of six different weights to use over a period of time.

They're super soft, and I'm starting to notice a difference in my ability to contract my muscles in just two weeks of use! I'll be sure to write a follow-up so we can see how the next four weeks go.

As far as the bouncing sensation goes, they're silent. They do jiggle around a lot in the packaging, so that's not at all discreet, but when inserted you can't hear them at all.

Care and Maintenance

These are easy but time-consuming to clean. To be sure they're entirely clean, I take the egg out of the harness and clean the egg and harness inside and out with a toy wipe. You can also use soap and water, but I find this more annoying. Be sure to take the egg(s) completely out of the harness and clean everything thoroughly - not doing so could result in bacteria and gunk caking up the inside of the harness. Yuck.

The harnesses ARE silicone, so if you need to use a lube, it needs to be silicone compatible. I suggest a water-based lubricant.

And, because these are silicone, they should be stored without touching each other, as this could cause the silicone to break down over time. I just keep them in the box they came in.

Packaging

I'm all about packaging. A lot of the time, I'll refuse a product simply because the packaging has a naked chick on it or it looks too tacky or trashy. This isn't the case with the Velvet Plush kit! This is a case I don't mind using to store the kit in.

Velvet Plush Packaging

The largest words on the front are "The World's Smoothest Silicone", and everything else is written so small you have to be holding the package to read it. The front IS wide open with a plastic window, so you can see what's going on inside. I don't mind this, but if you're really sensitive on who can see what, even if it's just some kegel exercisers, I'd use a different mode of storage. On the back is a large picture of the exercisers and "Kegel Kit" written in huge letters. The sides of the box are riddled with information, including the directions for use (which weight for which week). So again, not too discreet, but way better and more classy than some of the packaging out there.
