Color Me Fascinated!
I love my Liberator Throe. From anal, to oral, to "that time" (and anything else in between), it saves your sheets and takes whatever you want to "Throe" at it (or spill on it, for that matter)Published: August 3, 2011
Pros:
Versatile, Comfortable, Generously-sized, Does what it promises
Cons:
A little crinkly?
No cons, really.
No cons, really.
The Liberator Posh Throe is probably my most sexually used piece of Liberator Gear. It makes an appearance almost every time we have sex that we know is going to be a little messy. Sometimes it even comes out for the less-messy sex! This is a must-have for anyone who has sex. If you're crafty like me, it wouldn't be too difficult to make one yourself; however, for the ease of not having to make it yourself, it's a great purchase!
The Liberator Throe measures 60x54; which is just a bit smaller than twin-size blanket measurements (90x66). It is large enough to fit across most of my king-size bed and cover the area of the bed where most of the mess would be made. One side of the Throe is satin, and the other is plush; which has a velvety feel to it. Between these two layers, there is a layer of material which keeps fluid from seeping through. This means that it can used for all your messy sexual adventures! This middle layer is a bit crinkly-sounding but it's not disruptive.
All the stitching and craftsmanship is secure and well-done. I have no worries about this product coming undone in the care of it. The Throe is machine washable. I washed it in cold water, by itself to keep from turning anything pink. Then, I actually did tumble dry it on low. It came out of the dryer feeling even softer and cozier than it did before it went in. We use sheets that are, usually, 600 thread count or higher so my sheets have a satiny feel to them. With the satin side down, it's more likely to slip around on the bed under you during all your endeavors. I find that if you put the plush side down, it "grips" the sheets a little better and helps the Throe stay in place. We also use white sheets on our bed and even "new out of the box" we had no issues with the dye staining our white sheets during daily use.
You could easily use this Throe as a blanket on the couch or on your bed, if you so choose. The plush side is pretty cozy up against your skin, so I can imagine that it would be great to snuggle with. I don't, however, use it in this capacity. I have put it under a sleeping child once or twice while they were napping in my bed if I was afraid of them having an accident in my bed.

If you don't have a throe...
-
If you're ever on vacation and don't pack your Liberator throe (aka throw), Dan Savage has great advice for what to do with the hotel linens when you're done: Bleach Party
(nerd) -
Wow, that's really good advice! I'm glad you posted that, because that is something I have wondered about myself! :)

I can only imagine what the cleaning staff thought. (scared)

Throes how do these work?
-
Okay I have read the review and information given but I'm still confused about these whats the big deal exactly?
-
An easy to transport waterproof blanket is always a nice thing. For some it's not a necessity and is overrated, but it can change the lives of others.
-
If you aren't a female ejaculator, it might not be such a big deal for you. But for those of us who occasionally (or regularly) soak through blankets, comforters, etc... this thing is a life saver, just as Sam said. I don't know that everyone would need it, but I think it's fantastic! :)

Sex Throws-Difference?
-
Ok, So I have seen three different throws on EF. One is the Fascinator, The Liberator and the Safari throw. What is the difference between them? Other than the patterns obviously. The differences between the purple ones (liberator and fascinator) is what Im really wondering. They look the same to me?

Do you think the price of the Fascinator throe is worth it?
-
I really love the red one but it's expensive... Just wondering if the size you get is worth the price?
-
We just got ours and I'd have to say yes. Alan & I have paid almost that much for "normal" comforters for our bed, and they've not been as warm as the Fascinator, nor water resistant.
-
For me it's not worth it yet... But that's because I don't really get messy with sex. Maybe when I have a place and can have sex anywhere, or when I live with my guy and we have more time to experiment...
I think for it's features it's definitely worth the price. And I've heard good things about the size I think, or at least never BAD things.

Can the Liberator throe withstand oils?
-
I want the throe, but mainly so we can play with oils (oiled sex anyone?) and not have to worry about staining the bed. But will it stain the throe? I want to keep it pretty!
-
I'd love to know, too!

I emailed Liberator customer service. We'll see what they say!

Thank you for viewing Fascinator posh throe – liberator shapes review page!

Fantastic! I think you just sold me.
Love your review, thanks.
Great review. We love ours too.
Great review, I really need to get one of these. I'm having a hard time deciding between the two types though
Thanks for reading everyone!
@LingaLoo, I had a hard time deciding as well, but ultimately decided on the Posh because I had a choice in color.
After having mine for a few months, I have to say I can't believe I considered making one. lol These are just so nice and convenient.
nice review i sooo want one
Thanks for the review, I really think I need one of these! Does it feel comfy to just lie on?
It does, but it's a little stiff. Several washings help with that a little though.
We have a blanket that sounds like this, although it is not waterproof. It is the most amazing feeling against your skin and enchances the sexual eelings so very much.
I've been eyeing this but hadn't even thougt of using it for 'that time' but I do think that I'm tired of washing the sheets every other day so this would be well worth the investment!
Thank you for the review.
Appreciate great review!
Good review...
