Edenfantasys tote bag - storage container discontinued by EdenFantasys - review by Airen Wolf

At our local swimming pool we have a lazy river where you can float around on a large plastic donut basking in the sun all day long. At night, as the sun is setting, the donuts get put away and the walkers come out to play. I am a walker. Basically, what this means is, I walk against the current for an hour and 15 minutes, and then cool down with some brisk laps with the current. It's fun, low impact and great exercise for people like me who have injuries that prevent strenuous forms of exercise.
Sounds like fun, right? Well it is...until the lifeguards begin their nightly cleaning and delight in hosing down your shoes and clothing! You see we don't have large lockers for our clothing so we are reduced to leaving our gear poolside right where the little shits...err sweethearts can "accidentally" squirt it with water.
This happened to my friend and she was NOT happy to have to drive home in wet pants and in wet shoes.

I,however, have a waterproof and amazing EdenFantasys tote! I can put my towel, clothing, purse, shoes and sunscreen in my Eden tote and it's still large enough to fold over to keep my stuff dry. Personally, I think this bag is the single greatest advertisement promotional item that we have ever had. It is sturdy, well sewn, large, colorful and sure to have people asking, "What the heck is an EdenFantasys, anyway?" Win/win!

This bad is made of a "non-woven" material according to the EdenFantasys site. I'm not sure what that entails but it feels like the material the bags at Walmart (recyclable ones) are made of. The difference is I have used mine for many more trips than the Walmart bags held up to. Big shock, right? At any rate the Eden bag can tote six cans of soup, a package of toilet paper, a package of diaper wipes, some salad vegetables and a loaf of bread, with ease, and still have enough room to close at the top!
The bag measures roughly 15 inches wide by 15 inches tall and the sides have a gusset which increases the sturdiness of the bag as well as making folding the bag much easier. The gusset folds out to about 4 inches.

The seams on the bag are cast over and sewn firmly so that no matter how much you put in the bag you are not stressing the seams. Every seam is evenly sewn and there are very few loose threads. The bag looks to be made of once continuous piece of fabric for the front and back. The sides are sewn in and after using the bag for many months to tote groceries home on a bus the seams still look unstressed and sturdy.
The handles are fairly long, measuring in at 14 inches from the top of the bag to the top of the strap. The material feels like the same material that lines the inside of the bag, or possibly the outside of the bag has a plastic overlay and the handles are the material without the plastic. Either way they are soft enough not to bite into the shoulder and long enough to comfortably sling the bag over a shoulder and walk with it.
There is extra stitching along the outer edges of the handles to help prevent raveling and tearing. The stitching is even and firm.

The top side edge of the bag is folded over and stitched down creating a double layer of fabric to attach the handles to. This is amazing because the handles are firmly attached without bulkiness and if your overfill the bag they will not rip away from the bag ruining it like my frozen food bag handles did! After some pretty heavy use I don't notice any signs of wear and tear.

The bag is glossy black and striking looking. This thing WILL get noticed! It has the Eden fig leaf (I think it's a fig leaf? I prefer to call it a fig leaf...but whatever!) on one side printed over and over in pink and green. You know, the official colors of EdenFantasys! The pattern is repeated 6 times in alternating colors for three rows before you reach the words, "EdenFantasys.com" printed at the bottom.
On the other side of the bag it says, "EdenFantasys" in pink and green, and "Sexy & Smart" also in pink and green. In white at the very bottom of the bag it says, "facebook/twitter @ edenfantasys." Nifty, no?

Ok, so some people might not like being a walking billboard for any company but I don't mind. I get to do my part for the environment by not using plastic or paper bags, I get to answer unique questions about a company I love, and I have actually made a few dollars by giving out my affiliate code coupon to interested potential community members.

It also makes a great storage bag for toys. You can hang it on a hanger at the back of your closet and keep all your little treasures tucked away out of sight.

Seriously, for two dollars it's a great buy!

Still love and use these bags for grocery shopping. I slip a coupon book into the bag and if I get any questions I hand out a coupon. Makes for some really startled people!
