Forget the bearskin rug-this is better!

The Throe is an essential part of any adventurous couple's playbag. Discreet, perfect to bring along for sex outdoors or at a play party, and machine washable for afterwards; I think everyone should have one! I only wish it was a little less stiff, and/or that you could get a slightly smaller one.

Use

The throe is a water-resistant blanket, velvety soft on one side and satiny smooth on the other. It looks nonchalant folded up in your bedroom; no one will suspect that this throe is perfect for wet play, like explorations in squirting or, if you like to go further, maybe a little pissplay. With this sensuous blanket between your bodies and your sheets, you don't have to worry about who sleeps in the wet spot. You can just pull the throe up post-coitus and throw it in the washing machine so it's fresh for next time!

Design / Craftsmanship / Material

This product is really nicely made. It's a little bit crinkly (that's what makes it stop liquids from seeping through to your sheets!) but it feels nice against the skin. It's definitely not made of cheap materials that will fall apart in the washing machine, which is good! It's a thin throe, more like a polar fleece blanket than a duvet.

Performance

The Liberator Throe certainly made sexyfuntimes with my partner better, as we could both relax and just enjoy our play rather than fuss about finding a towel or worrying about squirting too much. It's not comfy enough in my opinion to wrap around your bodies afterwards, but that's okay.

Also, I personally found this excellent for when I do the occasional play party; cart this along and I don't ever have to worry about if anyone else left a mess!

Machine washable. I personally used cold/cold and put it in the drier without issues.

Follow-up commentary
I just used this last night to protect the bed at a play party from our fluids, (and to protect us from the bed- you never know). It's great to have something soft and comfortable that you can throw down anywhere. It's big enough that you won't have to worry about where you are and if you're covered.

      It's a great article, had to share. :D I'm cracking up though because I've always balled up the sheets and left them on the floor when I leave the room, even when there was no sex, i.e. I was sharing a room with a family member other than my husband. I can only imagine what the cleaning staff thought. (scared)

  • Throes how do these work?
    • Okay I have read the review and information given but I'm still confused about these whats the big deal exactly?
    • An easy to transport waterproof blanket is always a nice thing. For some it's not a necessity and is overrated, but it can change the lives of others.
    • If you aren't a female ejaculator, it might not be such a big deal for you. But for those of us who occasionally (or regularly) soak through blankets, comforters, etc... this thing is a life saver, just as Sam said. I don't know that everyone would need it, but I think it's fantastic! :)

    • Ok, So I have seen three different throws on EF. One is the Fascinator, The Liberator and the Safari throw. What is the difference between them? Other than the patterns obviously. The differences between the purple ones (liberator and fascinator) is what Im really wondering. They look the same to me?

  • Do you think the price of the Fascinator throe is worth it?
    • I really love the red one but it's expensive... Just wondering if the size you get is worth the price?
    • We just got ours and I'd have to say yes. Alan & I have paid almost that much for "normal" comforters for our bed, and they've not been as warm as the Fascinator, nor water resistant.
    • For me it's not worth it yet... But that's because I don't really get messy with sex. Maybe when I have a place and can have sex anywhere, or when I live with my guy and we have more time to experiment...

      I think for it's features it's definitely worth the price. And I've heard good things about the size I think, or at least never BAD things.

  • Can the Liberator throe withstand oils?
    • I want the throe, but mainly so we can play with oils (oiled sex anyone?) and not have to worry about staining the bed. But will it stain the throe? I want to keep it pretty!
