Liberator heart wedge - position pillow by Liberator - review by Sam (aka Jul!a)

There are so many uses for the Liberator Heart Wedge. Quite possibly even more so than the original Wedge, and even costs a good $25 less. It is smaller of course, but being smaller makes it a better candidate for general use as well, like as a back rest while laying in bed. It won't support quite as much weight as the original Wedge does, but it will still support quite a bit of weight.

Like all Liberator products, the Heart Wedge is stuffed with a high density foam that supports while being comfortable, features that lovely soft microfiber cover, and a waterproof liner under that. I've noticed that it does have a tendency to pick up stray hairs and other things like that, but they all wipe off easily enough.

It's a whopping 7" tall up by the top of the heart, and 1 1/2" down at the point. At its widest across the top, it's about 18". Because of the size, larger folks might not find it to be as supportive as the original wedge would be, but it will still support a wide variety of people. Mine holds up to my 220 pound husband using it to prop his hips up with minimal sinking.

The really soft microfiber cover does come off for easy washing. While that's off, the waterproof nylon layer will be exposed. You can remove the nylon cover as well, but there's really no reason for it. If you do, you'll find some exposed threads that might get caught in the zipper when you're closing it back up. The microfiber cover goes back on very easily.

Performance was awesome, and worked great for everything we used it for. It supports both of us on top of it, holds up each of our hips on their own, works well enough for doggy, and the little dip leaves enough room to prop up a toy or reach your hand through for self stimulation.

It also works fantastically as a back pillow while laying in bed or on the floor, works great as a little laptop desk, is great stood up on its biggest end and propped up against a wall or sofa and used as a back pillow there too. I've tried it as a back pillow while sitting on a sofa and it wasn't all that comfortable, but there's almost nothing this pillow can't do.

Packaging was very minimal, came in a nifty little plastic bag with a tag attached to it. The tag itself came off pretty easily, but my husband had to go through all the layers to get the little plastic piece out. Not a big deal, but still worth noting.

Care and maintenance is super easy. You can use a lint roller to remove any stray hairs and fibers that make their way to being attached to the outer cover, or if you get lube or other love juices on it, you can wash the 100% polyester cover in cold water on the delicate cycle with other dark colors. You can even tumble dry it on low heat!

Because of its super cute heart shape, there's no real need to hide it. You can keep it in a closet if you want, or you can keep it on the bed or sofa as an accent pillow.

I am so in love with my Heart Wedge. Because it's so much smaller and easy to maneuver than the original Wedge, I find that we use it a lot more in general and for more than just sex. I'm even using it as a back support right now while writing this review.

It's not the smallest thing ever, so you have to make room to travel with it, but on a recent getaway that we drove to, I just tossed it in the back of the car and carried it inside by hand, no biggie, and it really came in handy that weekend. In addition to being used for sex, my husband used it as a back rest while leaning up against the front of the sofa, and I had wedged it into the corner of the sofa to create a higher armrest to lay against. I've used it as a pillow in general, and found that it wasn't very comfortable for long term laying, but was amazing for a little while. My only real discomfort with that is because of some of my earrings.

The only bad thing I can think of about this, is that it's not quite tall enough for doggy style. It worked well enough for me, but I'm pretty short. Anybody with longer femurs than mine (14 1/2" from knee to hip) might find that it doesn't work for them that way at all.
