Liberator shag throe - sex toy for couples by Liberator - review by Envy

I'm not a squirter. Far from it. It was rare for me to even wet the bed, even as a small child. But I do spill things. A lot. I am a natural born klutz. Especially with lube, I just have zero coordination when it comes to holding the bottle and pouring it on my toys.

So I needed an alternative to towels. I do the laundry, but somewhere along the line someone will notice all the towels piling up or that are missing from the cabinet. That'd be awkward, explaining it's to clean up lube or just to prevent lube from getting all over my bed covers.

So I came across the Liberator Throe. (Is that not a typo? Wouldn't it be Throw?) A bit pricey, but I saw the good reviews on it and eventually settled on the shag and the gorgeous purple color. So I purchased it.

It came packaged like a bed sheet set or comforter would. Plastic bag and zipped up with a zipper with a little insert of a woman naked and lying against various colors of the same product, Fascinator written under her. The package could be saved and reused, but I would remove the insert if you're trying to be discreet. A naked woman would for sure raise questions if, say, your children found it.

The shag throe is actually only shag on one side. The other is a lovely and lighter purple satin which is very smooth to the touch. The shag is a very soft fur. Pulling on it the fur didn't come out, so shedding should be minimal with this so long as it's taken care of. If you're really worried about it, then I suggest checking out the microfiber Throes. But do be careful, they do collect dust and lint like crazy.

There are 3 layers to this throe, and it's actually quite thin. You have the fake fur shag layer, the waterproof layer (think of it like a shower curtain), and then the polyester satin layer. There's a darker purple border sewn around the whole throe and that's where the layers are sewed together. Because of this the layers are not actually sewn together and stable, and laying on it might make you end up sliding around all over due to the lack of friction between them. This also leads to 'bunching up' when washing in the washer and when pulling it out of the dryer. It's easy to fix the bunching, though, by just pulling the corners out.

Measuring at about 4 by 5 feet, (54 inches by 71 inches), the throe almost covered my twin bed. It left about a foot extra at the head of the bed, and barely went over the sides. Great coverage but will obviously cover less on the larger beds. And either side can be used. I like lying on the satin on the hot days, and the shag on the colder days. However, do note because of the waterproof plastic layer, this throe crinkles, which can get somewhat annoying.

During times of play, I have tested lubes on this. Nothing seeps through. I mean, NOTHING. As stated before, I don't squirt, but if I ever learn to, I know this will be able to take it as well. However, things are not absorbed the instant the hit the surface, and if you have big watery puddles they can run off before being absorbed as well, so do keep that in mind.

Clean up is very easy. Because it's so thin and compact it's easy to fold up and put away in a bag and take it out to use another time. Also, when washing be sure to wash in cold water only and dry in low heat. You could even hang dry it if you so preferred. I have washed mine a few times and it has come out looking good as new, no rips, runs, or anything.

This is definitely an investment item. If you squirt, or even if you just want to avoid washing sheets due to any 'wet spots' after a love-making session, this is your best bet. Great for solo use, excellent for couples (just watch out for sliding around on it), it will keep your bed and furniture dry, which will cut down on your laundry loads.
