Little Box of Secrets

The Original Toibocks is a very "grown up" way to store your "grown up" toys. Both luxurious and discreet, it looks like a regular jewelry box. But if you learn the secret to unlocking the hidden compartment you can keep all your delicious little treasures inside.

extremely useful review
Becoming a collector of sex toys has its own unique challenges. For instance, where to keep them all? As practical as it is to keep a bed side table with drawers filled with my favourite filling and vibrating devices, I have always admired the elegance of the Toibocks. It's such a grown up way to store toys! Now I have a few more toys than can all fit inside this lovely cherry red wooden box, but for my favourite toys it is a great resting spot.

The ToiBox is a pretty plain looking rectangular box that looks quite a lot like a jewelry box. Unlike many jewelry boxes though it is quite gender neutral and I don't think it would look out of place beside a man's bed. The main aesthetic appeal is the beautiful dark cherry red wood that the box is made of. Open the lid and it hinges back to reveal an interior lined with soft dark red fabric. There is a discreet Toibocks logo on the inside of the lid. There is a tray that is immediately accessible. The tray is divided in half up and down and then one half is divided in half again. One of the smaller compartments is the perfect size for storing condoms. It's the height of one condom package and the width of two. This top tray is also a great place to store plugs, small vibrators, nipple clamps, and any other small playtime objects. And if discretion is top priority, you can store any number of innocent bedside objects inside.

Of course, I am not going to tell you how to unlock the lower compartment. But when you do you have a larger area where dildos for instance can be stored. I keep my Eleven and Pure Wand in the lower compartment and there is still room for more if I would like to fill it full.

The Toibocks comes with an information package with instructions for how to open the lower compartment. There is also a registry form that you can fill out and send in to register your Toibocks. That way if you ever misplace the key the manufacturers can send you a new one. There are also some little furniture saving feet that you can stick onto the bottom of the Toibocks to prevent scratches.

Overall this is a beautiful and well made piece.
Experience
So I was very excited when I received my Toibocks. I've been looking at it for quite a while. When I first opened up the cardboard packaging and lifted the Toibocks from it's styrofoam nest I was pretty happy. After reading the secret of how the locking mechanism works in the information packet, I got to work trying to open it. Now truth be told it was pretty late after a long work day, but I could not for the life of me get it open! I tried and tried and tried and got pretty frustrated. I even considered shipping it back to the manufacturers as faulty (Yes there is a warranty against faulty manufacturing). I put it aside in disgust.

But a few days later I came back to the Toibocks with a fresh head and managed to crack the seal without too much effort. After practicing a few times to make sure that it wasn't just a fluke, I gathered up some of my most prized pretties and polished them up. I am keeping my Eleven and Pure Wand in the bottom compartment of my Toibox. On the top tray I keep my Jolly Jack, Mimi, some mini lube singles and some condoms. The size of the smaller top compartments are exactly the size of two condoms placed side by side.

I enjoying having this lovely storage piece in my life and am only docking it a star because the finishing of the wood and the lining of the drawers is not 100% perfect.
Follow-up commentary
This box is still beautiful and elegant. Right now I'm using it with the lockable tray removed. I find that the area inside is big enough to hold all the toys that I want that way. Also at this point in my life I don't have a need for a locking toy box.

Thank you for the review! What is the thickest "object" that can be stored in the secret compartment?

  • What Kind of Wood Is The ToiBocks Made of?
    • I'm wondering if the type of wood is what makes it valuable. Does anyone know what kind of wood it's made of?

Hello Phoenix713, it is actually the function of the ToiBocks that makes it valuable.

ToiBocks is the only discreet storage designed specifically for novelties, that you can keep on the nightstand, dresser, or desk and it will not look out of place.

Due to variations in humidity and temperature throughout the world, and the small lock mechanism, ToiBocks is manufactured using MDF. We tried many different kinds of actual wood to create ToiBocks (over 3 years of R/D) and found the humidity/temperature of real wood made it constrict/contract and interfered with the effectiveness of the lock mechanism.

The design and function of the box are what increased the manufacturing costs, leading to the higher price.

      All my best,
      Dawn

What a great answer! I was wondering about that too, but wasn't quite sure. I got mine a few weeks ago, and it was totally worth it. My eyes are still drawn to it like crazy.

    • What do you guys think of this new company? I think while they are expense, it is an awesome idea. According to a video I watched, the owner said they have 9 products coming out by the end of the year! I am very interested to see what all of them are as only two (the original ToiBocks, and the ToiTissue). I think the pieces are gorgeous and seem like an awesome idea for people with lots of guest or children.

The ToiBocks locks via magnetic key, so even if someone suspected it had a compartment in the bottom, they wouldn't be able to get into it unless they had one and knew they worked (and had a key). While it wouldn't hide very many toys, it would be great for keeping a few favorites easily accessed. I've been looking at more storage options lately, and it's been hard trying to decide what I want to get! At least now I know, even if they are out of my price range at the moment. I definitely want the ToiTissue for condoms, and I want the ToiBocks for my favorites on my dresser. I am really hoping they make something a little larger too, though I feel faint when I think how expensive larger pieces would be. No doubt these are high end and absolutely gorgeous.

They're very pretty, but I'm still holding out for the ultimate "lots-o-toys" storage.
    • They're nice- but completely not my style. I don't care for any wood finishes with my furniture. They'd be totally out of place. Like Backseat- I need large storage. Any really small toys I have that would fit in those I just keep in my nightstand.
They're just awfully expensive, neat, but pricey.
