Lock it up

This is a small but pretty case that comes in a variety of colors. A simple and girly way to hold some of your favorite toys up to 12 inches. Need help with the locking mechanism? Instructions to help are in my review.

extremely useful review
Pretty in pink and just as discreet, I LOVE this little box.

When it arrived I was excited to finally have a place to put my small but ever growing collection of toys. Like others have said it won't solve your toy problem because it's a pretty small box only made for a few of your favorite items you'd like to keep close at hand.

I was disappointed that it didn't come in it's own box or protection of any kind (just came in the cardboard box they shipped it in). Reason being is because the metal edging was already a little scuffed up and some of the pink foil material also looked a bit dirty. However it was all cleanable and with a quick wipe down I got it looking new.

Now comes quality… It was fairly nice to look at and people will have thought that you would had spent more then you did. I think it was well made and you get more then you bargain for, for a little over $20. The inside was a leather like material that was nice and smooth and would keep your toys clean and fuzz free, at least more fuzz free then the bottom of your sock or underwear drawer. I love the pink butterfly design on the outside simply breathtaking and very girly!

Now comes the locking mechanism. They lock they instructions on how to use and set the combination lock INSIDE the case. This was the only downer I experienced. Why in the hell would you lock the instructions INSIDE the case? I sat there awhile after trying to open it to no avail. Being the type of person I am curiosity finally killed the cat and I couldn't wait any longer. I carefully pried it open enough to pull the instructions out but alas the lock broke and the case was ruined. I was so bummed… I can still use it but it's not nearly as pretty as it was when I first got it. For this exact reason I'm listing the instructions below from the manufacture on how to set the combination. I don't want anyone else to waste their money and break their beautiful little case like I did.

These are not my instructions, these are the exact instructions I pulled out of the case from the manufacture.

1. With the lock open, push button 1 (square button on the right) in the direction of the arrow (left) and hold down until the second operation has been performed.

2. Set number wheels to the desired combination. Do not forget the combination you have set!

3. Now release button 1 (square button) Press the button again as a check.

You now should have set the combo to what you want it to be. May I suggest something easy such as 000 or 123... we have enough numbers running through our heads to make it something difficult.

I would recommend this lockable case to anyone because it's small and pretty and holds your favorite toys up 12 inches no problem. The fact that they locked the instructions inside the case really made me turn my nose up at the company that made it. I don't understand why they couldn't of had the instructions on the outside where the manufactures tag was placed! You live and you learn. Luckily my mistake will help you enjoy this case much more then I do!

That's great of you to post the instructions! Locking instructions inside is WACK.

I know! I thought that was crazy. It would be simple to put a tag or a little booklet on the outside of the case where the manufactures tag would be for such things! I don't know why they don't care to do that! Thanks for the comment!

That really sucks! I'd be fuming, especially since it's such a neat box.

Any chance the manufacturer will replace it for you?

What a bummer indeed, they should attach it to the handle or something.

Nice review!

Carrie ann: They probably would but I have read some other reviews on this box they did in fact replace it for someone else and the same thing happened. Instructions locked inside and they were worse off because of the headache they had in trying to get a new one. I choose my battles carefully and this just isn't worth it.

Naughty: Tell me about it! I think they should attach it to the handle as well. In fact now that I think about it everything else I have EVER boughten with a lock the instructions have been on the OUTSIDE! I guess they just didn't think it was important enough!

Thanks for the comments!

I have a box from the same company, I think. My instructions were also inside. The thing is, the instructions don't even tell you how to open it the first time so you just have to go through every combination or hopefully get lucky - which I did. My combo was 000 112, I think.

I also thought the lack of packaging was lame and attaching instructions to the handle is a good idea, for sure.

I'm glad that you got lucky. I tried getting lucky with the lock but I'm not one with a patient mind...so I hacked the lock off! LOL

Thanks for the comment!

Excellent review!
Eventually I'll be buying this storage box, but not until I really need it. I just think it's so pretty! And I love the lock.

It really is stupid that the manufacturers put the instructions INSIDE a LOCKED box. Makes no sense to me. I really appreciate you pointing that fault out, and thanks for posting the instructions. That'll be a great help for when I get my own.

I am looking for a decent sized box for our toys (that doesn't cost a small fortune) that can be locked. My question is - is there a combo to get the box open if it does arrived locked? It doesn't seem like you can set the combo if it's already locked. Unless I'm reading it wrong. This was the one I wanted, but I'm having second thoughts now! The other choices seem smaller (or much pricier).

thanks so much for the instructions! the only thing i don't quite understand is how to open the lock in order to set the lock code? my box is still locked and i'm not about to try out 999 combinations to open it...this sucks! what a bad decision on the manufacturer's part!

Thanks for the instructions. To get into mine all I needed to do to get into mine the first time was pull the red tab out & pull the 'button' on the right hand side to the left. Guess I got lucky. But it is definately a bad decision to lock the instructions up on the inside.

I would have been pretty upset had that happened to me. Thanks for the instructions, though I'll probably end up getting something else.

It's great. I love mine. It's just like the old lockable diaries from the 80's.

  • Best place to hide your toys...
    • I'm going to write a post here soon about where is the best place to hide your toys. I'm also going to share horror stories of what can happen if your toy isn't hidden well enough. For example, we were at a friends home when there 4 year old came walking into the living room with a bright pink dildo in here hand calling it her "Princess wand" So yeah, whats your favorite spot to hide toys?

We don't need to really hide them. A lot of times we leave stuff out charging right on our table in our bedroom. A few things we barely use is in our dresser, the rest is under our bed in a box so we can easily access it :D
    • We have a nice hat box in the closet, pretty close to the bed. No one goes in the closet, but even if they did, it would look decorative.

    • I don't know of any places online, but I know that most locksmiths can make you a stylish safe-like box. I had a wood one carved and styled for me, best investment yet.

  • Help ASAP :(
    • My pink lockable sex toy case by BMS Enterprises is locked shut and I can't get it open. Yes, I have the right code in. No, I have never had a problem with it before. It has my favorite toys and I had to masturbate with my back ups:( How do I get into my box and rescue my favorite bunny? Has anyone had this problem before and how did you solve it?

Oh no! That sounds terrible.. I hope you get it open! My toys are currently in a home-made cloth zip case, and not locked up. Sorry to hear your bunny is trapped!
    • Try WD40 or similar on the lock mechanism and hinge. Apply it with a generous hand, and let it soak in for a few minutes, then try again. If it's just jammed, that may be enough to get it moving again.

Hit the lock sharply a few times, though obviously be careful not to use enough force to damage your case. It's not the best way to unstick a lock, but it could be just enough to loosen the mechanism, so it's worth a shot.

Worst case scenario: cut the lock hinge. You're going to need really heavy cutters, if not actual lock cutters (you can find those at hardware stores). If you're careful, you'll still have a box to store your toys in, though it won't latch closed anymore.

Good luck, and I hope you manage to get your toys out soon!
