My heart does not belong to Liberator

I want to be a Liberator fangirl, but the shortcoming of the shapes I've acquired so far is turning me into the opposite. The Heart Wedge is my second piece and it has turned out to be as useful as my first, i.e. it's a lovely piece of furniture. It delivers in the looks department, but not in the support department.

Liberator shapes are on the pricey side, so my choices so far have included shapes that also have uses other than sexual support. When I found the Heart Wedge on another site in decor-matching Espresso Brown, I decided to take another chance. The Heart was a close cousin to the Wedge which I regretted passing over for the Flip Ramp, and I told myself if it didn't work out, I'd have a really pretty décor pillow.

Isn't it pretty? The official Espresso photo.

My Heart was shipped from another retailer but I believe a plain brown cardboard box is standard packaging. The only indications of the contents were large bar code tags which had the product name in bolded, capital letters. I guess that's the price one pays for free two-day shipping.

I was in love with the look of the Heart Wedge as soon as I removed it from the package. The brown velvish material was soft, and the piece itself was extremely light weight, barely a pound and a half. There was a large zipper for removing the cover, but it was barely noticeable, placed towards the back of the heart, and it blended in well. The Valkyrie logo took a little bit away from the overall aesthetics, but I was still pleased with it.

A quick unzip confirmed that there was a water repellent liner surrounding the foam core at the center.

The velvish cover of the Heart didn't feel that much different from the microfiber cover of the Flip Ramp, however, it attracted far less lint and dust.

So, where did my love go? Let's discuss measurements. The Heart at its widest point measures just shy of 18 inches. At its longest point it measures 11 inches. That is pretty much in-line with the "small" sized Wedge. The Heart stands 7 inches tall, but shrinks to a 1¾ inch height at its point. A gap of almost two inches between my back and mattress is not the most comfortable thing in missionary position, but I reasoned that my weight would squash the wedge and I wouldn't even notice.

Wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong. I completely underestimated the strength of Liberator's foam cores. Squash it with my weight? Ha, ha, ha... not this little brown heart. I'm at the heavier end of average but I might as well have been a feather. Not only did the pillow not compress, as was the case with the Flip Ramp, my ass slid right off. Velvish is not velcro.

I thought, let's try doggy position like the woman in the promo photos! Ha! Ha, ha, ha... My optimism was misplaced. While kneeling I tried leaning on my elbows. Then I tried extending my arms & hands. Then I even tried face-planting into the mattress. In every position my hips were well above the Heart. So much for the "sweet incline" I was promised. The only way for it to support me was if I extended my legs straight out behind me. Comment dit-on uncomfortable? I'm not interested in the Superman position, especially if I'm laying over a petit slab of heart-shaped concrete with the weight of a man on top of me.

Frustrated, the Heart was tossed aside and demoted to decoration. That makes me 0/2 with my Liberator collection. The only reason for an extra star is that the Heart is 1) really pretty, and 2) relatively inexpensive.
