Never having sex without it!
Say goodbye to wet spots on your bed! A must have for any sexually active couple, the Throe feels nice, it looks nice and is easy to care for. What more could you ask for? Believe me, you get your money's worth!Published: May 11, 2010
Pros:
Feels good, does what it says it does.
Cons:
Slippery, a little crinkle noise.
The Liberator Posh Throe is now a standard every time we have sex. Mine is black. I almost got the purple, but I really prefer how luxurious the black looks. And feels! The top (i.e. - the side you'd want to play on) is velvety soft, the back (i.e. - the side that would go on the bed/floor/table/couch/back seat of your car/kitchen counter/dryer or wherever else you want to have sex lol) is satin. Sandwiched between is a barrier of plastic.
We used to use towels. Usually full sized bath towels when we'd play. Something for various fluids to leak down upon, it's okay for extra lube to fall onto it, a place to wipe your hands, and something for me to tuck between my legs once I move so I don't drip cum all over the bed. Few things are more annoying than wet spots in bed.
The Posh Throe is about the size of a queen size bed. It'd hang down the sides of a twin size, and there'd be space on the bed where the Throe doesn't cover on a king. It's actually perfect for a queen size!
There are 2 "half" drawbacks to the Throe. In my opinion, they're not big enough to be counted as one, individually. First, because of the velvet finish sometimes if you don't have a good grip you can slip on it. So you have to reposition yourself. Secondly, due to the plastic inside there is a little bit of a "crinkle" sound when you move on it. Other than those, it's perfect and my partner and I didn't find these drawbacks sufficient enough to even really be annoyed by them.
When you move on something, there's going to be some sound usually, and after a couple uses you get used to the slipperiness and are able to move accordingly. Considering how nice it is to not have to worry about a pile of dirty towels, or having to change the sheets, this is a win-win situation.
For care and cleaning of your Throe just wash it with similar colors (or alone as it is decently sized). The tag says warm water, but I use cold. Also, tumble dry on a cool setting. Between uses we just fold it up and keep it right next to the bed. Although, it does tend to attract some fuzz, dander, animal fur, etc. It did not come with any storage for it, though if you really wanted the plastic box it came in could be re-used.
It's so nice now having this! After sex I don't have to worry about sitting up on the bed and having cum drip down on it, or having to wear a panty liner if we're going to sit up in bed and watch tv after sex. I just sit on the Throe! Not to mention, it feels heavenly on my skin!

Follow-up commentary

Still love it! And what's mind boggling is the multiple uses! We've used this sucker as a blanket, pillow, bedding when the sheet has been dirty, it's also even been backdrops for pictures!
As for the slipping issue, if it's problematic we just end up folding the liberator in half so it's not under his knees and that's taken care of the issue :)

If you don't have a throe...

If you're ever on vacation and don't pack your Liberator throe (aka throw), Dan Savage has great advice for what to do with the hotel linens when you're done: Bleach Party
(nerd) -
Wow, that's really good advice! I'm glad you posted that, because that is something I have wondered about myself! :)

I can only imagine what the cleaning staff thought. (scared)

Throes how do these work?
-
Okay I have read the review and information given but I'm still confused about these whats the big deal exactly?
-
An easy to transport waterproof blanket is always a nice thing. For some it's not a necessity and is overrated, but it can change the lives of others.
-
If you aren't a female ejaculator, it might not be such a big deal for you. But for those of us who occasionally (or regularly) soak through blankets, comforters, etc... this thing is a life saver, just as Sam said. I don't know that everyone would need it, but I think it's fantastic! :)

Sex Throws-Difference?
-
Ok, So I have seen three different throws on EF. One is the Fascinator, The Liberator and the Safari throw. What is the difference between them? Other than the patterns obviously. The differences between the purple ones (liberator and fascinator) is what Im really wondering. They look the same to me?

Do you think the price of the Fascinator throe is worth it?
-
I really love the red one but it's expensive... Just wondering if the size you get is worth the price?
-
We just got ours and I'd have to say yes. Alan & I have paid almost that much for "normal" comforters for our bed, and they've not been as warm as the Fascinator, nor water resistant.
-
For me it's not worth it yet... But that's because I don't really get messy with sex. Maybe when I have a place and can have sex anywhere, or when I live with my guy and we have more time to experiment...
I think for it's features it's definitely worth the price. And I've heard good things about the size I think, or at least never BAD things.

Can the Liberator throe withstand oils?
-
I want the throe, but mainly so we can play with oils (oiled sex anyone?) and not have to worry about staining the bed. But will it stain the throe? I want to keep it pretty!
-
I'd love to know, too!
-
I emailed Liberator customer service. We'll see what they say!

Thank you for viewing Fascinator posh throe – liberator shapes review page!

I honest-to-God don't think we've used ours for sex yet. That's an odd thought to have. We've slept with it though. It's soft.
LOL Isn't that just how it works?
Oooh, I've wanted one of these like forever. Great review!
Thanks for the review!
