Off with their head silicone hitachi cap by Vixen Creations

When I bought my Hitachi, I knew that I wanted to get an attachment with it. The idea of something silicone that could be sterilized was also important to me. I don’t share many of my toys, but I still like knowing that they can be sterilized if I ever desire it. After watching the V-Blog about the Hitachi attachments here on Eden, I knew that I was going to have to get this one. I may just be addicted to my Vixen Creations toys, and their name is synonymous with quality. So being made by one of my favorite companies, I placed my order. Just to note; this review is about the use of this cap on the Hitachi Magic Wand. It will fit the Ideal as well, but I do not own one of those, so I am writing about my experiences with this cap on the Hitachi.

I wouldn’t really say that the Off with Their Head makes the Hitachi feel better, just different. I think it all depends on what kind of stimulation you are looking for. The silicone hitachi cap doesn’t fit over the original white cap of the Magic Wand like many other accessories do, it actually replaces it. There is a little card that comes with this cap that shows you how to remove the original cap and place this one on instead. The only problem with this is that the original head can be difficult to take off, so I don’t like to switch back and forth very often. This cap is easy to put on and take off, just in case you are curious.

I really like the design of this toy. There are three ridges that lay horizontally on one side, then a long vertical ridge that turns into a little tongue-like flap on the other side. The ridges feel good, but I find that I only like them when I am really close to orgasm, otherwise they can be too intense. The little flap can be used to mimic cunnilingus, just be warned that this will tire out your arm pretty fast as the Hitachi is pretty heavy. Thankfully though, if you enjoy receiving oral sex, this will most likely get you off in short order. This really does feel almost identical to cunnilingus, provided you use a little lube. The vibrations are still super strong, but the silicone cap does make them gentler than the original cap.

Clean up is simple as it is with most silicone toys. You can wash this with soap and water or toy cleaner. If sterilization is desired, you can boil it for 3 minutes, throw it on the top rack of the dishwasher (so soap!), or you can wipe it down with a 10% bleach solution. Silicone attracts lint and little particles like a magnet, so store it where these things can’t get to it. Many toys by Vixen Creations come in a plastic tube as does this, and if you have the room, it works well to store the cap in. Storing it in the tube or a plastic bag will also keep the Off with Their Head cap away from other silicone toys. The only thing that breaks down silicone is oddly enough, silicone. If you leave silicone toys touching each other, they can melt together. The same goes for silicone lube and silicone composites (like TPR silicone). Only use water based lube with all silicone toys.

I almost always test toys out on my husband too, but alas, he does not allow the Hitachi anywhere near his sensitive parts. So I didn't get to test it out on him, but if the occasion ever arises, I will post a follow up review. In the mean time though, I will be thoroughly enjoying this toy and all it has to offer.
