Simply Great Storage
Who says adults can’t have their very own toy boxes as well? The Playchest is great for holding all your naughty secrets you’d like to keep locked away. There's really nothing like it.Published: September 15, 2011

The Devine Playchest from Devine Toys is good for holding anything you want to keep away from prying eyes. It can lock with a little key, but the lock can also be picked, so be mindful of that. The chest is large so you can keep a lot of stuff in it. There's room for basically anything you'd want to put in here: wand massagers, vibrators, chargers, dildos, DVD's, books, lubes, massage oils, lotions, body paints, naughty candy, harnesses, kinky bondage stuff, and there's little pockets for smaller stuff like cock rings, nipple clamps, and batteries.
The Playchest is 15” in length, with a width of 8” and 10”inches in hight. It weighs 5 lb completely empty, but when I filled it up with stuff, it became just over 15 lb.
The exterior of the Playchest is made of faux leather, with metal for the lock, hinges, and five little legs on the bottom. The strap and handles are also faux leather, and to lock it, just run the strap under the handles, through the loop so it clicks into place, and turn the key. The key is two pronged, so you could break it if you are rough with it.
The interior is made of a silky, smooth satin that can easily be wiped down if any lube or massage oil happens to leak. There is a divider down the middle with velcro on each side so you can adjust how much room you’d like to have on either side of the divider, or you can take it out completely. On one side of the divider you have a little mesh pocket, and a wide elastic strap to hold a couple of things upright. There are also mesh pockets on either side of the lid.

I couldn’t wait for this storage box to arrive. I don’t usually get very excited about storage boxes. My apartment is tiny so I’m quite used to innovative storage options.
I’ve been keeping my toys in a tiny cardboard box that completely wore out so it was time to invest in some real storage, and I’m really glad I got the Playchest. The playchest is sturdy, large enough to hold many things, but a small enough size to be tucked away. The key lock is perfect because I wanted something a little secure, but I rarely ever have to lock it.
The elastic straps on the binder is holding up the massage oil, and Pink Water because they could potentially be very leaky if left on their sides. The mesh pocket is holding a couple of handfuls ofAA batteries. The mesh pockets on the lids is great for holding stuff you don't want to get lost among all your toys, while still being very roomy.
It would be nice if there were a few more pockets, perhaps on the sides to place extra things like bullets and chargers, but overall this is a great storage box, and a worthwhile investment for anyone.

This chest is holding up very well. It still holds the majority of my toys. I haven't broken any of my keys, but I rarely need to lock it. It's too bad it's not being carried anymore, otherwise I definitely recommend it.

I'm really liking the looks of the Devine Toy Chest, but am wondering...does inside the box have a glue or chemical odor? That's one thing I love about my Toibocks products compared to other standard locking boxes I've found - when you open them up, there aren't fumes that knock you down. Are Devine Toys products fume free? Thanks for any info! :-) -
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what material is used in the inside of the chest? Sort of looks like cardboard or maybe plastic to me...

Does anyone know what the lining on the inside of the chest is made out of? Is it silky? Plastic? Also does anyone know if there is anything similar like this on Eden?

Wow! Very fantastic review! I'm so glad you added so much detail about the space it has. Reading your list that your box holds made me immediately put this on my wishlist! This will be something I'll be getting asap! I'm always interested in these boxes, but a lot of the reviews I come across don't add much info about space so I just always assumed they'd hold one or 2 things. So, so glad I read your review! This is exactly what I've been needing. I, too have been storing mine in cardboard boxes that I decorate myself, but they hold up terribly. I retired some to a backpack that takes up my entire closet nearly.

Nice review.
I currently put all my toys in a drawer and I know i need a special place i can keep them and being under lock and key would be great. Kids are grown and now I have to be descreet as a grandma so little hands don't find my stuff condiereing he is into opening and closeing drawers. Despite this he also likes to transfer things from one drawer to the next.
