Explore new positions and improve some of the classics with the Liberator Hipster. The contours of the pillow may allow for more support under the back and hips as well as the neck. Made in the USA, the Hipster is a well-crafted and sturdy bedroom accessory. It uses the same durable thick foam as their other products. We have found this foam to be very supportive and it maintains its shape quite well. The size of the Hipster is similar to the ramp; however, it is contoured with a small curve on one end and a larger curve on the other end, with a slight dip in the middle.

The Hipster has a microfibre outer cover with a soft, velvety feel to it. This outer cover can be unzipped and tossed in the washing machine for easy cleaning, which is a good thing, because our black microfibre cover shows every drop of lube or body fluids. Those with pets will probably notice that it picks up pet hairs. Luckily, it comes out of the washing machine good as new! When you unzip the outer cover, you will find that the foam is encased in a water resistant liner. Liberator suggests simply wiping this with a damp cloth.

The dimensions of the Hipster are very similar to those of the Liberator Ramp. Specifically, it is 10” high at the highest point, 33” long, and 24.5” wide. Because of the contours of the Hipster, it is not quite as bulky as the Ramp, but it is still somewhat difficult to store.

I am no stranger to the Liberator brand. Ever since we first tried the Ramp/Wedge Combo a year ago, we have steadily added to our collection and now have a nice assortment of Liberator products. So when I had the opportunity to try out the Hipster, I enthusiastically jumped at the chance. I couldn’t wait to try it out to see if it would provide more comfort and versatility than the Ramp/Wedge Combo. How did it compare? Well, our results were mixed. The biggest positive of the Hipster for us is when we use it in the doggy style position. Performing doggy style with my wife bent over the large hump causes her to tighten her abdominal muscles which results in enhanced penetration and tightness. Also, she is able to achieve g-spot orgasms in this position. Very nice! Additionally, we do like the way it raises her hips for improved access to the goods when I am performing oral on her. Unfortunately, we both had difficulty finding and maintaining the perfect position when lying on our backs. In fact, my wife could only find one specific position where she was very comfortable, with the large hump providing support under her neck; however, if she scooted up or down the slightest bit, it became less comfortable for her. While the added curves of the Hipster were nice, in some positions they were a distraction, as the dip between the humps seemed to be contoured for some other body type. My wife sometimes found it uncomfortable on her lower back because of the dip. The curves were just not ideal for us in some positions.

The Hipster is a very nice product, but it is a bit pricey. If your wallet only allows you to purchase one, I would recommend the Liberator Ramp over the Hipster. If you do have multiple Liberator products, they can be used together and the microfibre grips nicely so they don’t shift with thrusting. We discovered, quite by accident, that stacking our Hipster on top of our Ramp adds another level of pleasure altogether. We are able to achieve different heights this way for increased versatility. We also use the Ramp and the Hipster to recline on while watching movies together…so now we have his and her pillows. Overall, we both like the Hipster, but we both agree that the Ramp/Wedge Combo is much more versatile for us.
