Pink padded pouch - storage container discontinued by Don Wands - review by SneakersAndPearls

I usually sew my own storage bags for toys if they need them. Still, I hear people raving about Don Wands padded storage bags, so I figured I might as well give them a try. I can always use an extra bag.




Let's start with the basics. The small pink storage bag roughly measures 5.5 x 5.5 inches and closes with a drawstring with a sliding toggle. It is made of 100% polyester, is handwash and hang to dry only, and thickly padded on the sides. It is NOT padded on the bottom. The whole bag, inside and out, has a velvet-like feel to it. It reminds me of the texture of a child's stuffed animal.




I've seen a lot of complaints that the small storage bags are too small. Don Wands and Eden don't hide the measurements of the bags, but yes, the small is very small. You won't be able to fit any glass wands in here, but there are other toys you can use it for. Just from my toy box, I would be able to fit bullets, We-Vibe Touch, We-Vibe III, and plugs (not together, of course. Silicone toys should be kept away from other silicone toys). I suppose you could also use it for carrying coins, crayons, hard boiled eggs, or other small objects that you put in there just to see if they would fit. Of course, *I* never did such a thing...



All that being said, I have two main issues with this bag. One, it doesn't close all the way. No matter how hard you pull the string, a sizable opening is left in the top. The other issue is that of cleaning. I really wish this was machine wash/dryable. Not only will the padding make it hard to wash, but it will also take forever to dry. I live in a very humid and damp climate, so it would likely take several days for it to dry for me.





In the end, I have to say that even though this little bag is nothing to get particularly excited about, it's decent at it's job. It will protect fragile toys, but the design and materials could be a bit better.

Originally, I thought this little pouch wasn't going to do a whole lot for me. It's so small that not a whole lot fits in it. However, it is the perfect size for Kegel balls, plugs, bullets, and other tiny toys that can easily get lost in the toy box.
