Better sex essentials silicone lubricant by Sinclair Intimacy Institute&re - review by Checkmate

We have used water-based lubes for many years, and after reading so many positive reviews about silicone lubes we decided to give one a try. Since Better Sex Essential Silicone had several good reviews, we decided to try it, and are definitely glad we did!

Better Sex Silicone comes in a clear 8 oz. plastic bottle with an easy-to-use dispenser cap. The labeling is a simple gold label with Better Sex Essential Silicone Lubricant printed on it. The ingredients are cyclomethicone, dimethiconal, and cyclopentasiloxane.

Having used nothing but water-based lubes, we were quite surprised by the properties this lube provided. It has the consistency of baby oil, and a very similar feel when dispensed; a soft, satiny feel. It has no odor that we could detect, and should the occasion occur where you might ingest a small amount, it has no taste.

We discovered when using this lube to use very, very minimal amounts. Just a few drops is all that we needed. It is easy to over-lubricate, which causes a loss of sensation. This lube seems to last forever, so if more is needed you can always add some later.

This lube is fantastic for vaginal sex, providing smooth comfortable lubrication for a much longer time period than we need. It also works great for anal play and, because it has a silicone base, it works well when engaging in sexual play in a shower or tub. A word of warning here... be careful if you should happen to spill it on smooth surfaces. A very small amount quickly turns a shower floor into a Slip N' Slide; not what you want when playing in the shower!
It also works great for massage as the skin absorbs it quite well, leaving nice soft smooth skin.

Better Sex Silicone works equally well with toy use, but do not use it with silicone, Cyberskin, or what the Better Sex web site refers to as "real-feel" toys. Use with any of these toys might lead to silicone melt down, something you would not want to subject your toys to! So if you have any toys such as these, you might want to keep a water-based lube handy.

No fear for those who use condoms as this lubricant is latex and condom compatible.

Clean up requires soap and water, although since the skin absorbs it quite well, mainly our toys are all that needed to be cleaned. We have noticed a few spots on the sheets, but all seem to wash out on laundry day.

We seldom give any product 5 stars. But because this lube works so great, lasts so long, takes a minimal amount, and really has nothing negative about it, we have to break tradition and give it 5 stars. Highly recommended!
