A great all-around lube, particularly good for adding that extra bit of moisture before penetration or as a lube for toy insertion. The ingredients are really exceptional, natural, and non-irritating. The ideal consumer of this product would be an eco-conscious vegan with sensitive skin who just wants a little extra help to get herself warmed up...but this is still a great lube if you are an average gal who just wants to make her naughty bits slippery!

This lube is really quite sweet and simple. It does its job exceptionally at the same time as being kind to Mother Nature and to your body. While I didn't think it scored top marks in texture or lasting ability, Hathor Aphrodisia'a "pure" lube does pretty darned well. Vegans, look no further.

For those of you who are less interested in the ecological merits of your lube, and just want to know how it scores next to all the rest, here are the straight facts:

-very slippery
-decent lasting power for a water based lube
-leaves a somewhat sticky residue; but this is not very noticeable
-unscented; though it does have a mild, slightly sweet odor and taste that is actually quite pleasent and WAY nicer than the chemical smell of many lubes
-gentle and non-irritating; I am very sensitive and never had any issues
-I would't recommend it for anal use as it is simply too thin; but this is true of all water based lubes I've tried.

The price might look high, but a little goes a long way. My bottle lasted almost a year and I used it quite regularly. Besides, what you're paying for is a solid, non-toxic product which is really important for a lube. If you wouldn't put it in your mouth, don't slather it on your genitals! So, all in all, If you aren't committed to any particular lube and are looking for a new favorite that you can feel good about in oh-so-many ways, give Hathor a try!
