Sensual warming gel by Fun Factory - review by Peggi

Pulling the Sensational Warming Gel box out of the packaging it came in through the mail, I was excited! Since the first day I'd seen this product advertised as a product to soon come to the site, I knew I just had to try it!

The packaging that the product comes in is simple, yet elegant. It comes in three basic colors: red, silver and white. Three of the sides, the top and bottom are all in this color, excluding the back of the box, which shows a sensual photo of a couple embracing each other, a couple of beverages nearby, and a candle to set the mood, as well as one of the company's products. The red background on the rest of the box almost has a "shiny" appearance. On the box you will find your typical general product information including the name on the front, the weight of the product (in this case, the gel comes in 1.7 fl. oz), ingredients on one side and directions on another.





Inside of the box was the jar, the top dark red with the logo from this product line in a silvery color. Pulling the jar out, I became more excited! The jar is made of glass and the lid appears to be made out of dark red plastic. On the front of the jar is the name of the product, the bottom giving the same general product information as seen on the box.





Unscrewing the lid and taking a deep whiff of the gel, I found it first to be very floral, followed by a powdery scent which was also somewhat floral.



This gel is meant for external use only, the product states that you should apply a small amount on your genitals to enjoy the sensual warmth of the product. This is a water based product, so it should be safe to combine with any type of toy material and won't break down latex in condoms. I would, however, keep in mind that it is not suggested that you use this product internally. Also note, as seen in the image below, this product contains Glycerin and 5 different Parabens and so those with high sensitivity to those ingredients should use with caution, and should you be prone to yeast infections due to Glycerin, you will want to take extra caution to use as recommended by the company.

The consistency appears to be thick, if you press your finger down into the gel you won't have much on your finger, you have to actually scoop it up with your finger. I found it easiest to dip my finger into the jar on the side and just slide my finger on up, bringing a small amount of the gel up with it! The gel itself is a pink rose color and although you can't see through it while it is in the jar, once on your finger it is pretty transparent.

Once applied to the genitals (or whatever area of the body you have applied it to) it takes about 45 seconds to really give you the warming effect. With two applications applied close together in time during play, I felt the sensation for roughly 20 minutes. As the product dries it feels somewhat tacky on the skin. Once it is completely dry it leaves your skin feeling smooth and silky, but there is a thin almost oily-feeling residue left on the skin's surface. After showering, which removed the product immediately from my body, I could no longer smell the product on my body. I'd applied it to my wrist after the shower to get a better idea of the consistency, and once it had dried I had to put my wrist close to my nose to even smell it.

We did try it for a nice, sensual back massage, which was very relaxing, and I chose to leave the gel on, and when he hugged me, my partner could smell it on my skin but said it wasn't strong at all and smelled like a nice perfume! It is also meant to be an aphrodisiac as well as a warming gel.

Excited about trying out the Sensual Warming Gel by Fun Factory for the first time, my lover and I grabbed the jar and two of my favorite toys and walked over to the bed. Kissing me gently, he began to undress me. He left his clothing on, as this was all for me. I laid down, shivering both from the cool air touching my skin, and the anticipation of trying out a new product that I'd been waiting so long to investigate. Gently kissing my thighs as he pushed my legs apart, he gave my clit a nice lick before opening the jar and dipping his index and middle finger in, collecting a small amount of the product on them and then rubbing them onto my clitoris. His touch alone could easily have gotten me going, but the feeling of the cool gel added more pleasure. Rubbing in circular motions for a few moments I could already feel the gel heating up against my skin.

He blew on that most sensitive area, a tingling sensation from the combination of his cooled breath against the warming gel. He grabbed the first toy, a simple, traditional vibrator and put it on its lowest setting. He teased the area for a few seconds, just gently placing the vibrator there, then removing it. Applying another thin layer of the gel to the vibrator, he turned the setting up and again placed it in the same area. The heat and the vibrations combined, created an extremely stimulating sensation. He continued with his motions, and about 20 minutes in, sweet bliss.

Typically, I stay away from any type of warming lubricants, but decided to try this one out because the ingredients were a bit different than the ones I'd used in the past, and I ended up really enjoying the product! It was able to help bring me to orgasm in less time than it would've with a regular water-based lubricant or gel with toys alone, and it didn't cause any type of irritation at all, which is a reaction I do often get from warming lubricants.

We've found other warming products that we use a bit more, but I tend to use this pretty frequently because I like the way it smells. It is more common to use for me as a "perfume" of sorts, rather than a sexual aid.

Although I use it often, it hardly looks like it has been touched! No drying out, the aroma is still there just as much as it was the day I got it, and no change in consistency of the product.

Sensual Warming Gel is expensive, but worth the money!
