Sometimes finding a good water-based lube that can be used for anal is really hard. Water-based lubes are known for drying up too quickly, getting sticky, or not being thick enough to make things comfortable. Silicone lubes are great for anal, but what if you want to use some of the amazing silicone toys out there? Silicone is one of the best materials out there for anal toys, but using a silicone lube with it is a big no-no! So, what are you going to do? You're going to get yourself a bottle of Maximus and wonder how you lived without it!

This wonderfully thick and rich lube is a total dream come true when it comes to anal. It provides the slickest, thickest, easily-cleaned up experience you could ever imagine. It's safe with all toy materials, and latex. It allows for easy insertion of just about anything you want to stick up your butt. (Only anal-safe things, of course.)A little tiny dab of it makes for an amazing vaginal experience, as well. You only need a little to make your wettest dreams come true, so there's not a ton left over to wash off. It's luxurious for hand-jobs and masturbation. This lube totally delivers for anything you'd want to use a lube for. It doesn't have a flavor added, and it doesn't taste that good, so it may not be the best thing ever for oral.

There's only one downside, but it's one that most people can overlook. It does contain parabens. It can't be totally perfect, right? Parabens are actually found in a lot of cosmetics and personal hygiene products out there such as toothpaste and shampoo. They're no too harmful, but there are people out there looking to avoid them, so it's totally your call on that one.

Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol Cellulose Polymer, Di Sodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben.

As you can see, there isn't any glycerin, which is a major plus, especially for those with sensitive systems and those prone to yeast infections. With the simple forumula, there is a low risk of an allergic reaction in those with skin allergies. If you have them, make sure to test it on a small area before using it for full application.

The lube dispenses out of the pump top container very easily without any air bubbles. It comes out in a gel-like consistency that is comparable to hair gel. It's not going to run or drip everywhere. It's actually thick enough not to run if you tilt your hand. You can easily apply a thick layer to whatever you're inserting without it causing a huge drippy mess like thinner lubes often do.

Overall, this lube is very thick, but very slippery. It's incredibly smooth without a single hint of oily, sticky, or greasy. It's not at all velvety like other water-based lubes can be, and it does an awesome job of coating insertable objects and staying coated when they were inserted. (Sometimes, with thick anal lubes, not enough of it actually goes in and a lot of it is left hanging out on the outside.)

I really didn't notice any real smell to this no matter how close I got to it. It's not something I was too excited to taste, and after tasting it, it's not something I would be excited about tasting again. It doesn't have too strong of a taste, but it's not a pleasant one. It's a bit chemical. Other lubes can taste and smell slightly sweet, but that's usually because all of the sugars in them. Lube not tasting sweet is actually pretty comforting.

Like I said before, this lube totally delivers for any kind of insertion. It really blew me away when I used it with a silicone butt plug. I had been using another water-based lube before I purchased this and I thought that that lube was the best I was going to get. I was always left a little frustrated because the lube tended to bead up on the surface and toys would struggle when I was trying to insert them no matter how much of the lube I used.

Well, here comes Maximus. I pumped out a single pump which was about the same amount of the other lube I had been using. I slathered it on the toy and instantly realized I had pumped too much! I probably only needed 1/4 to 1/2 of a pump which is about a dime-sized amount or smaller. I was shocked at how wonderfully it glided over the surface. It didn't bead up at all. That's what a lube is supposed to be like. It made anal insertion SO much easier than my other really good lube ever has. Formerly stubborn butt plugs have nothing on Maximus. It's their kryptonite. They bend to my will when it's applied.

Maximus just keeps going and going, too! It lasted for several extended play sessions without having to be reapplied. Once play was over, it absorbed into the skin and dried up without getting sticky. It was also easily removed with a toy and body wipe. Soap and water wasn't even needed, but if it is, this stuff washes away incredibly easy without leaving a residue behind.

You don't see many lubes which come in a pump top bottle. I can't tell you how much I prefer this over the click-top bottles. It's so much easier to dispense the appropriate amount without making a mess or having a leaky or lubed up bottle. You don't even have to pick up the bottle to dispense it! The pump does lock, but it has to be pressed down. If you need it locked, it's best to do so after you've dispensed the lube.

The bottle is totally clear with some thin, black writing on it. If you're standing a couple feet from it, it's hard to tell exactly what it is. It actually looks like a bottle of hair gel. It's not the most discreet product in the world, but it certainly doesn't scream sex. I like that it has a very classy look to it.

The bottle is a hefty 8.25 oz size. You only need a small amount each time, so this big bottle should last you for months and months. If you want to have some of this to travel with, you fan easily dispense some into a travel-sized bottle.

I'm SO glad I found this lube. I spent a while agonizing which lube would be good for my silicone anal toys and still be slippery enough to make everything comfortable. I would always browse the site and notice that most of the products I saw had a suggestion for this lube. I wondered what was so great about it and why Eden thinks it's great for everything, and now I know why.
