All Organic and Sliquidy
There is really nothing I can say negative about this lubricant. It's a great go-to lubricant for anyone at all. But I especially recommend it for anything with sensitivity issues, needing an all-purpose lubricant to be compatible with all toy materials, or that balances a perfect thickness and smoothness. It is an all-around wonderful, sliquidy ride!Published: November 15, 2011
Pros:
~ Organic, Vegan, Hypo-allergenic
~ Water-based
~ Perfect Viscosity

Cons:
~ Not a Single One
The Basics
This is one of the organics line of the Sliquid lubricant LLC. It’s created for those with sensitive skin and the sensibility to hold product safety and resource sustainability high on the priority list. Oh, is that you? Me too! Let’s learn together! Well here is a little snippet from Sliquid’s profile and why they really do deserve a second look if I didn’t already pique your interest. “Sliquid, LLC's newest product line, Sliquid Organics is the first annual winner of the new AVN "O" Awards. The "O" awards are an annual awards show presented to the best products in the adult industry, along category lines.”
So I have your attention now? Good. Let’s talk about this specific lube now. This is a water-based lubricant that’s categorized as a ‘gel’ for its thickness. It is unscented, unflavored, and 100% vegan for ultimate body and allergy friendliness. Because of both of these features, it’s safe not only for use externally but great for vaginal and anal penetration as well. It’s also completely safe to be used with any material sex toy. It’s a “cover all of your bases” lubricant if you’re sensitive to ingredients, smells, or drying.
The Senses
So how does this lubricant feel, smell, taste, and generally stimulate you? Actually, it’s all thumbs up for me. The texture is smooth and very silky. It’s not sticky or stringy. And even though it has a pretty high level of viscosity (thickness), it warms to the body well and, for me, maintains the perfect balance between liquidy, genuine female lubrication and thick, rough-friction preventing gel. It’s thin enough for me not to feel squishy and gooey even when I’m all done. And it’s thick enough not to have any issues with premature drying.
And as I mentioned earlier, I have yet to detect a smell or taste from this lubrication. Though I want to mention that this lube isn’t specifically designed for use during oral sex and I would stray from ingesting much of it. And I know this sounds like the ‘norm’ for sensation-free, non-oral sex lubricants but it’s really not! If it’s been a while since you’ve used a really cheap lubricant, just try to remember the smell associated with cheap jelly or rubber toys. Chemicals can carry quite a stench!
The Performance
I touched on this a bit earlier but I specifically wanted to talk about how well it worked for me. It warmed up and melted to my body almost immediately. It was easy to smooth over my private happy areas but maintained its body enough not to melt into my newly washed bed sheets. So I’m happy to report that this isn’t a messy lubricant. But even if you use more than you needed or have particularly messy sex, it cleans up very easily (since I did get some on my clothes) and is non-staining.
And also importantly, it does soak nicely and smoothly into the skin, almost like massage oil does. Since I’m one of those that tend to nap after play time, I hardly ever get up immediately to wipe off or shower. I never felt “gross” when waking back up, which is pretty wonderful. I’ve used cheaper lubes that dried and made me feel a little… crinkly down there and it’s highly uncomfortable.
And during the times when I did decide to get up about, oh, an hour or so later, I actually found that the lube somewhat regenerated itself when I just splashed myself with water. But then after direct contact with the water from the shower, it did wash right off. It was only then that I really remembered that this was a water-based and completely water-soluble lubricant. It’s not designed for water sports. So anyone who partakes in that past-time still needs to keep a stock of silicone-based lubricant handy.

Experience
The Bottle
This is the only part I would improve on because my bottle is rather stout and it's not as convenient to hold and squeeze when solo-playing. It’s a little wide so it doesn’t squeeze between tight places for a quickie very well. Also, the pop-top cap is the perfect design for lube to gather and dry. But the easy way around it is to remove the cap and rinse it in warm water.
But the wonderful thing is how ‘organic’ and clean the style of the label is. It has the look of an expensive lotion or moisturizer and won’t scream “SEX JUICE” sitting on your night stand or dresser. No bold inappropriate words or naked people anywhere on the bottle.
Oh and this bottle is completely recyclable.
The Ingredients
Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from Cotton), Aloe Barbadensis*, Natural Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Extracts of Hibiscus*, Flax*, Green Tea*, and Sunflower*, Citric Acid (Citric Fruits), Phenoxyethanol (Rose Ether)
*Certified Organic
~ Glycerin, petroleum, and paraben-free
~ No animal testing
~ Formulated and produced in the USA

Vegan? Awesome. but humanly ethical?
-
are any of the ingrediants fair trade?
-
Your best bet to get answers to questions like this is to either ask the Eden staff via support ticket, or contact the manufacturers directly.

Quote: are any of the ingrediants fair trade?I'd do some research on them, even send your question in to the company. That'd probably get you somewhere? I really don't know much about them. I've tried a couple lubes, but didn't even like em.

Too Sticky
-
Ive tried about every lubricant known to man at this point.. I can't find one that I like. They're too sticky, too runny, leaves a residue behind, dries out after too short of a time period. Im frustrated....Anyone have some good suggestions for me? Thanks!
-
I like the sliquid line, as I too have problems with sticky lube and tacky residue from them. I've only tried a few so far, the Sliquid Organics Silk is the best of them for this. The Sliquid Organics Gel only got sticky once on me, when I accidentally added way too much lube (was reviewing a toy that was larger than I am used to).
-
I like the Wet Synergy, the Shunga Toko Aroma, and the Fun Factory Body Fluid. To me, none of these have been sticky, although the Synergy and Body Fluid will probably leave a "residue" because they both have silicone in them. However I've found that wiping with a wipe has removed any of the residue that I was feeling.

We've used the naturals, how are the organics? Better, worse, same?

This is also of interest to me - I just ordered the naturals, but this organic gel caught my eye too.. wondering how it's different/better, if it is at all.

Expiration date?
-
What would be the shelf life of these?
-
I'm not an expert on lube but I usually toss stuff after one year. If it smells funny or anything you might toss it even sooner.
-
Yea I agree. Most of them dont really say much. But I wouldnt keep them in really hot or humid areas and sounds about right to tosss em out if you see anything different. (scent, color, etc)

Thank you for viewing Sliquid organics gel – lubricant review page!

Very helpful review. Thanks!
We just got this lube a few weeks ago, and my wife and I love it so far. The gel is so nice, and much easier to apply.
Thanks for the review!
Awesome review!
Very good review. I did buy the product for all the benefits listed here including what I believe is beneficial for women with sensitive skin.
Great review, I love how much thicker this gel is compared to Sliquid organics natural.
Thanks for the review!
