Water-based, l-arginine and glycerin free.
Ingredients: Highly Purified Water, Propylene Glycol Cellulose Polymer, Di Sodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Methyl Paraben, Butyl Paraben, Ethyl Paraben, Propyl Paraben.

This is a great water-based lube for nearly any situation. It is suitable for masturbation with fingers or toys, vaginal sex, anal sex, and any other situation you might want lube. I would say this is NOT good for oral, but only due to the taste.

I personally have used it for everything except anal, which I am curious about. THIS is the lube I will use. I have been wary about attempting this just because I know a good lube is needed, and I am happy to say I found one I am more than confident in.

I am in love with the texture of this lube.

It comes in a handy pump bottle. It is incredibly simple to get the amount you want dispensed. I've had squeezy bottles and over-sensitive pumps in the past and always ended up with the wrong amount, so this makes me very happy! You can get the littlest drop or a full pump- or more, if you like.

If you put some on your hand or finger, it will stay. It jiggles a little but does not run or drip off. When you rub it onto your skin or a toy, it feels luxuriously silky. It is thick and stays that way- it won't thin out and need reapplication.

I put some on my fingers and rubbed them together vigorously until they got too tired for me to continue caring about my little experiment, while also blowing on them. I've had a lot of problems in the past with air drying out my lube quicker than I want, and this lube passes the test. The only way you're going to need to apply more is if you wipe it off of everything and do not get wet again... But if you get a little wet naturally (or lick your fingers, etc) it lubes back up! I find the lubrication at that point isn't at the level of when you first apply it, but it is definitely usable.

It is not greasy or sticky. It does not dry greasy or sticky, but instead just feels soft. I know I have lube and other fluids on me and so I wash off, but it does feel comfortable being left on my hands. They lube back up if they sweat though!

This has no scent whatsoever. It does however have a taste. I do not find the taste to be super unpleasant- if I wanted to perform oral, I would wipe off excess but wouldn't feel the need to really wash it off. Remember it lubes up again once you lick it so it will still be on there. It is a bit of a bitter taste, but I don't find it to be as strong as other lubes- it's maybe a bit sweet at the same time.

If you lick a glob of it, it has a strong taste. It's bitter and I kinda said, "blech!" at first, but if you think on it for a second it's not repulsive. I've had to go rinse my mouth out after tasting some other lubes, and this one's taste just goes away after a moment.

I have used this with my fingers for clitoral stimulation, small and large toys, and a large penis. It just works! I have never had to reapply this, even after over an hour. A little bit of this goes a very long way!

This does not leave any evidence on the skin if you let it dry and that's the only thing drying on you. It is not sticky, greasy, dry, or anything. It just sinks on in as far as I can tell. It does however wash off very easily with water. You will not need to scrub at this in the shower to get it off of you!

Regarding allergies-
I have had allergic reactions to lubes in the past. I am not sure what is in KY and Astroglide (and another I can't remember) that causes it, but I break out anywhere it touches and get very itchy. If I don't get them washed OUT of me properly I have gotten yeast infections. My skin is normally very sensitive to any products, so this does not surprise me.

I have ZERO problems with Maximus. It's L-Arginine free/Glycerin free and it's a great thing. It is a dream, and lubricates much better than the other sensitive-skin lubes I have been trying. I was nervous to try it, but have not had any problems- even if it gets on my face.

This comes in a handy pump bottle. It will have a tamper-evident sticker on top. I had some issues getting the pump top to unscrew and pop up for me, but that may be user error. Just like lotion pump bottles, you can screw it back down for travel so that it won't bump against items in your bag and leak. It is so thick that I would not be concerned about it leaking, but I may put it in a baggy just in case the pump top pops up.

I wouldn't say it's super discrete. It's a 8.45oz clear pump bottle. However, it is not immediately clear what it IS- the writing is black and so blends in with background objects at times, and there is a picture (decorative Roman pottery?) on the side. It says "A water-based sensual lubricant" and "Maximus" far enough away to where you could certainly turn this bottle and people may just think it's a soap or something.

The most important thing about this lube for me is that it is free of L-Arginine and Glycerin. These are common ingredients in many lubes, and many people have allergies to them!

Also, if you wipe your finger (or whatever is lubed up) off on something and then lick it (or get wet again on your own, or sweat) it will become slippery again!

If needed, I can put a tiny bit of this in me even if I won't be doing anything until hours later. It doesn't run out or make me feel squishy like I would expect, and if I get even a little excited it provides fantastic lubrication.
