And...Pull a Houdini!

ID Millennium is one of the most peculiar silicone lubricants I have ever used. It really does never get sticky or oily, but it does a disappearing act very quickly. This makes it a good moisturizer and massage serum, but not a very good lubricant.

Pros:
Is an awesome massage serum and moisturizer. Never gets sticky or oily. No taste or smell.
Cons:
Evaporates/absorbs way too quickly. Toys suck it up. Overpriced.

Use

ID is a common and popular manufacture of lubricants. They are one of the only brands that are sometimes sold in "regular" stores like Wal-mart, Walgreens, Target, etc. While they are readily available, they are more of a mediocre choice the majority of the time. For beginners to silicone lubricants, I don't think this is a good first choice. I don't think it is very representative of the awesomeness of more silicone lubricants. This stuff, while very lovely slick and smooth at first, seems to do a quick disappearing act! It does not leave you stick or anything, bit it simply absorbs WAY too quickly. I actually prefer this an a vaginal skin rejuvenate. I recommend it for that more than anything. It does decently with toys of firm materials like glass, steel, and wood. I do not recommend it for anal. It is also pretty good for massages and hand jobs.

Ingredients: Cyclomethicone, Dimethiconol Silicone, Dimethicone Copolyol, Tocopheyl Acetone (Vitamin E Acetate)

Note: this is totally safe for women who have a sensitive whoo-ha! It is free of L-Arginine, petro-chemicals, parabens, and glycerin free

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

At first ID Millenium feels like most silicone lubricants, smooth, slick, and incredibly silky! It is runnier than most silicone lubricants I have encountered though. It might run if you use to much. You do need to use a lot too. It really does never get sticky like the product claims. It even has a slight velvety feel as it quickly starts to get absorbed into the skin. It also never feels oily or greasy which is uncharacteristic of most silicone based lubricants. Even though it is not oil like, it has the consistency of a massage oil in a way.

Taste / Aroma

ID Millenium has a VERY low scent. It slightly smells like plastic, but you really have to put your nose to it to detect it. A nice thing about most silicone based lubricants is that they have little to no taste. The same is true for ID Millenium. It has no noticeable taste. This is one of the reasons that I say this is an excellent lubricant for hand jobs, you can incorporate a little oral play and not have to clean up before hand or be repulsed during.

Performance

For sex, ID Millenium starts out feeling like a wonderful experience. Literally, within minutes, it dissipates. It leaves the skin feeling silky and hydrated but no longer facilitates a slick sexual experience. It's actually remarkable how easily it dissolves into the surface of any area of skin.

With toys, most of the materials seem to "suck" up the lubricant. It lasts a lot longer if the material is non-porous like glass, steel, or wood. It needs to be reapplied often though. Again, it never gets sticky or oily.

Both of those experiences led me to believe that this lubricant would be a good massage serum. It totally is! In some ways, it is even better than massage oil! It is slick and smooth when rubbing it around and into the skin. I absorbs into the skin easily, takes little time to dry, and leaves the skin feeling very soft and smooth! It also does not get sticky if you start to sweat.

In the shower, this still works better than most water based lubricants, but it is not as good as most silicone lubricants.

It doesn't really need to be washed off either! I have never felt icky after using it and could barely feel any left overs.
    • Absorbs into skin nicely
    • Reapply often

Packaging

A lot of ID lubricants are available in a lot of different sizes. This one is available on eden in the following sizes: 1, 2.5, 5, and 16 fluid ounces. I bought the 2.5 at a local Walgreens. For the high price (and it is not just eden), this lubricant is not worth it for the quality. The package is a plastic flip top. It rarely leaks (keep it up right). The bottle has some generally sexual language, but the design as a whole is fairly discreet and would go unnoticed among other toiletry type items.
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Recyclable
    • Very informative packaging
Follow-up commentary
I use this lubricant as a moisturizer more than anything else. It also works with fly away hair if your rub it through your hands a bit to "evaporate" some, then lightly whisk it through the trouble spots in your hair (thanks for the suggestion girls!).

Strange. I bet it would make a great anti static hair serum though if it disappears that fast

That might work too! If you rubbed it in your hands a bit first.

I'm not surprised. I'm not a fan of ID. Most of their stuff burns. Sorry you wasted your bucks on this. Seriously, try it for frizzy or fly away hair. It could save the product.

I've never heard of a silicone lube drying up like that. Good to know. Thanks for the review!

I was wondering what the houdini title meant, lol. I have Purr Body glide and I swear by it. It is in my shower right now for shower sex, it is awesome!

P'Gell: I'm not a huge fan either. I consider them lower end. I have been burn by some of their stuff too. I will have to try that!
