Water-based lubricant

Lube for Mermaids

Aqua is a long-lasting and body-conscious choice for a lube. I love how smooth and slick it makes things, but I hate the terrible scent and taste. It is NOT unscented as it claims.

USE:
Wicked Aqua is a lube that can be used for vaginal penetration, jacking off for dudes, internal and external masturbation for people who have lady parts, and/or lube for boobs. I don’t participate in anal due to medical and personal reasons, but this might be an alright choice in the water-based category because it is fairly thick. Being water-based, it would need to be reapplied more often for a lube-consuming activity like anal.

ALLERGEN AND IRRITANT INFORMATION:
You or your body does not like parabens? That’s ok. This lube is free from all parabens. Wicked company does not do any animal testing and this lube is not tested or made from any animal ingredients. Aqua does contain glycerin, so if you have an allergy/sensitivity, keep on looking for something better for you! Aqua is safe for all kinds of toys, including silicone, and is safe to use on latex condoms. Aqua would be a very conscious choice for water-based lube compared to a chemical product like Astroglide.

The bottle warns not to keep Aqua out your eyes. I haven’t tried it, but it does not sound very fun and it would probably burn. If you have a thing for eyes, you should find a more appropriate lube.
As always, if irritation or discomfort does happen in use, listen to the wise little bottle and STOP!

PACKAGING
My 2oz bottle came with a pump dispenser. This is great for one-handed reapplication, no awkward fumbling to pour the lube bottle in the dark. The pump has a lock so the small size would be great for bringing with you during your travels. The packaging is very discrete, no gratuitous nudity and sexual imagery on the front (here’s looking at you, CalEx lube}. It’s just a sleek, blackbottle with the company and product name. It does state that it’s an intimate lubricant, but if someone walked into your bedroom and saw it, it does not scream “SEX!!”. The bottle is slick looking as well and very tasteful and discreet. It is also slightly translucent and it’s always nice to see how much you have left.

TEXTURE/THICK/VISCOUS
I really do like the texture of Aqua. It’s not very runny and not drippy at all like some lubes can be. It feels silky on the skin and the Vitamin E and Aloe leave my skin feeling very moisturized. It absorbs into the skin nicely and while some lubes will leave an icky, greasy feeling, Aqua just leaves my skin nice and soft. In use, it feels very slick. While using, I pondered “Is it slick enough for Slick Rick?” I might be stretching it by saying he would approve, but this lube is long lasting. Tick tock and you it don’t stop. He very well might approve of this lube. It makes everything slide nicely. There’s nothing more that I hate than runny lubes, and this is a great viscosity.

No sticky or greasy feeling on my skin and none of that feeling elsewhere either. The way this lube feels is exquisite. I was absolutely satisfied with the use. For internal vaginal masturbation, it was very long lasting. It was about 30 minutes before I felt the need to reapply. I love how slick everything is while using Aqua. It leaves no residue, but I like to wash off after use anyway.

TASTE/AROMA
Here is where my biggest issue with Aqua comes in: It is NOT unscented! Much less unflavored. The scent isn’t strong enough that if you put it on your wrists, someone would walk up and be like “Dude, you stink. What is that?”, but if you’re up close and personal, it does not smell good. It has a sickeningly sweet, nasty, slightly chemical taste and scent. It tastes unpleasantly tangy and acrid on my tongue and I would NEVER use this lube for oral. If you’re looking for a lube for oral, stay away from this! You will thank me! I hate the way this smells and tastes. Wicked makes another lube in their line for oral. The smell is off-putting to me and when I order an unscented lube, I want it to smell unscented.

I have the opposite issue I had with Probe Thick and Rich (another all-natural paraben-free lube) here. With Probe, the taste and smell were undetectable, but I disliked the texture and extremely viscous composure of the lube. Aqua lasts longer, no doubt.

Awesome review! I cannot stand things that claim to be unscented when they're not. Though to be fair, remembering the nasty consistency of your Probe lube, based on this review, I would take the stanky Aqua any day.
