Astroglide is one of my favorite personal lubricants. It is a light and smooth, and easy to the touch. You do not need much to get the desired slickness for your satisfaction; it takes just a little dab for great use. It is a multi-use lubrication; men can use it for their play toys to make it smooth and easier to wrap around their penis without the tough pulling of the penis with the texture of the toy, or for personal use with an easy clean up in the end. Women can use it with their vibrators to make it easier to insert the vibrator into the vagina and feel like real bodily fluids as if you were having intercourse and does not get sticky or rough and make your vibrator feel weird inside of you.
You can also use it for intercourse for that extra boost of lubrication for an intense night or for when the woman dries up; it acts as a natural bodily fluid lubricant and it will not slow down your night. I always used to use different KY ones and the occasional one from different surprise-party type companies, but there was always something about them that I hated. Finally I was introduced to astroglide and haven't used anything else since :D

Astroglide is ok, but I find it doesn't work that well for anal sex. I use Maximus for that, as I am naturally a wet person, and don't really need lube for anything else.

Most likely because reviewers starting out have to review cheaper items first. I'd guess that lubes and massage balms/oils would be many reviewers' first picks since they'd want to buy the stuff anyway. :P

I've never tried Astroglide for anal. Is it thick enough?
Yes it is thick enough. You use just as much as you would for intercourse. If you don't do anal regularly or if it hurts a lot, then use an extra amount than usual till it is slippery enough for you.

I wouldn't use it for anal. It's not thick and it doesn't last that long. There's much better lubes out there, but if it works for you then go for it.
