Astroglide - with no glycerin or parabens!

I would recommend this lube to anyone with glycerin and paraben allergies or sensitivities. It feels natural, is travel-friendly, and one 2.5 oz bottle will last you a while.

Use

I've been using this water-based lube for years. Originally, I would use a couple of drops to slick up my silicone toys, but I quickly started using it for much more! For anything that requires lube, Astroglide Glycerin and Paraben Free will provide a smooth (and wet) ride. I use it EVERY time I'm playing with toys, and during the times when I need a boost of wetness "down there". It has also assisted in my partner's and my gradual journey towards fisting.

Apply directly to genitals, fingers, toys, you name it!

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

This lube is water-based. It is a bit runny, but definitely gets the job done. It is completely clear. After a few minutes of penetrative play, you won't be able to tell what's Astroglide and what is natural vaginal lubricant. However, the formula is thin enough that it may need to be reapplied after a while, especially when using silicone toys. It's a bit sticky, also, but is easily wiped/rinsed off.

Taste / Aroma

This line of Astroglide has a slight smell, but not enough that it takes away from the sexual experience. It smells a little bit like new plastic. Could be worse.

The taste is slightly chemically on its own, but is usually easily covered by other tastes (such as that of natural vaginal secretions).

Performance

This lube works pretty well, but may need to be reapplied a time or two (or more, depending on how long you're going at it). I've noticed that if I put some on my fingers and rub it around and don't use it fast enough, it'll dry on my fingers. To help keep this from happening, I'd make genital contact (if that's what you're going for) as soon as you put the lube onto your toy or hand. Or, to avoid this issue completely, apply directly to the area on you or your partner's body that you want to lubricate.

The glycerin and paraben free Astroglide will become sticky as it dries, but rinses off pretty easily. It wipes off easily while still wet, although some sticky residue may be left behind. I usually wipe it off my fingers with some bathroom tissue or a piece of Kleenex, and rinse if I need to (I do wash my hands with soap and water before and after sex, however!).

Packaging

The lube comes in a 2.5 oz bottle, which means you can throw it in your carry-on bag for plane trips! Woohoo! The bottle design is cute, and could possibly be mistaken for hand sanitizer (although the wavy shape may cause people to take a second look).
Directions and ingredients are on the bottle and box.

It has a pop-open cap, which can be opened and closed with one hand. I've used only a few bottles of this over the last couple of years (because it lasts me a while), and only one of the bottles has broken and leaked. Something happened to the cap (my fault for keeping it in a place where it could be squished) and it leaked all over my toiletries. Not fun - I had to throw everything out!

Great to hear that this is glycerin and paraben-free, I just don't like the texture of Astroglide.
