Attractive stain free lube
While this product does not stand out from other, similar products in use, it does have a discreet and attractive appearance.Published: March 12, 2009
Pros:
The packaging is attractive and the product does not stain.
Cons:
The bottle falls over whenever the pump is used.
"Pink Water" lube comes in a discreet bottle. It could be Aeu de parfum or lotion for all the observer can tell. The bottle has a pleasing shape and the label does not give away the contents of the bottle. This item could sit on your bedside table when your parents come to town and they would never know it is a sex aid. This appeals to me as I am sure it appeals to many others. There is no danger of embarrassment with this product packaging. The cap is very cute, as is the rest of the bottle. The graphic on it is attractive and the colors don't draw unnecessary attention.
Unfortunately the best part of this product is also its worst aspect. Due to the small base on the bottle, it tends to fall over with the slightest motion. The convenient pump on the bottle tends to knock over the whole thing. This is quite a turnoff during sex and also creates situations where fumbling becomes necessary.
The product itself brags of being designed for women with moisture in mind, but it strikes me as fairly average when it comes to product quality. It brags of having aloe in it as well as ginseng and guarana. I am sure the product includes these ingredients, but it does not seem to make a difference to me.
The lube is pleasant. It seems cool but not cold and warms up to the touch. It is not too thick, gooey or sticky. The consistency is good, but the product does not stand out. It has no discernible aroma, so it is not unpleasant. It does have one quality which makes it different from other lubes. It does not leave a sticky residue on my body, hands, or sheets, nor does it stain. For this reason I do plan on keeping it around.

I love the Pink silicone, so I'm surprised to hear the water-based is no good.

Length?

Which lube do you find lasts the longest without getting gross?
-
System JO seems to work pretty good for water based lubes, Better Sex essentials is the best I have tried when it comes to Silicone based.

I love pink silicone. The stuff lasts forever, but if we're talking water-based, so far I've been liking Blossom Organics (which I think is only sold on their website), but I don't have tons of experience with the water-based stuff.

how much does packaging influence your purchase? for me, the gawdy and tacky packaging is a total turn off- even if it has high ratings! should you really judge a lube by its cover?

I agree, I tend to be turned off by ridiculous packaging. I like things to be nicely designed and I am definitely more inclined to purchase those sorts of things.

In general no I wouldn't be turned off a highly rated lube if I didn't like its packaging. I'm not buying it for what it looks like, I'm buying it for how it works.

Thank you for viewing Pink Water – lubricant review page!

Did it work better for vaginal sex, playing with toys, etc?
It didn't distinguish itself beyond standard lubricants, although it obviously is an improvement over not using lubricant at all.
Well you're right, it is quite pretty looking. What would you compare the consistency to?
Good review!
The consistency is slightly more fluid than KY but not so runny that it gets everywhere.
Thanks for the review!
I do love the bottle shape - thanks for the review!
