Basic water-based lube

Though this isn't a fantastic lube, or luxurious, it is a basic "bargain" lube that does the job. It's wet enough and thick enough for vaginal play, though I can't speak to anal play. Those that are concerned about being organic and those that are sensitive would should probably look elsewhere. If you don't mind the ingredient list, however, this may be worth a try.

While this lube may not be luxurious or have extra nutrients for your body, it does do the job in a basic sense. I got a 6 oz tube of Ultra lube for free when I bought my first vibrator a couple years ago. I didn't use it much then, but with my fiance now, we find I often need a little extra moisture to make hand jobs and other manual play more comfortable for me.

For me and my partner, we use this lube mostly for manual play on me. We have found that it's too goopy for hand jobs on him, and it gets sticky when it's in air too long. On me, it's nice and thick, even if it does take a little while to warm up. I like that it's wet enough when my hormones are lower and I still feel in the mood.

One of the main concerns some users might have is the ingredients. There's glycerin, a cellulose product, and a couple parabens...not always body-friendly to those that are extra sensitive. If you're prone to yeast infections, I'd skip this product entirely because of the glycerin. If you're concerned about the ingredient list and any possible reactions you might have, I'd recommend reading EF's excellent "Green Project" article on lubes.

I for one have been trying to be more green in my life, sexual and otherwise. I don't like the idea of unnecessary chemicals in my body, so I'm looking into organic and more "natural" water-based lubes for us to use. In my follow-up review, I'll have more to compare to. If natural doesn't do the job, though, I still say this is a solid choice for a basic water-based lube.

This lube cleans up nicely with water or wipes. Since it's water-based, you can use it with condoms and toys with no damage to your birth control efficacy or your toys.

The packaging is pretty low-key, though I wouldn't say entirely discreet. A notable difference in my product: The tube I have has a flip-top on the bottom, but the current design has a snap-top on the top of the bottle.
Follow-up commentary
After I bought some organic lubes, I started using them a lot more. Even though I didn't have any adverse reactions to the ingredients in Ultra lube, I would rather not take the chance.
