Best Feel Around

It's worth it because it lasts and doesn't make a huge mess while doing so. There isn't any weird after stickiness or greasiness. It makes the whole experience better when you don't have to worry about what the lube is going to do.

Pros:
no smell, no aftertaste, no staining, easy clean up, easy to dispense, lasts a nice long time.
Cons:
If you like to mask with flavor you won't find that with this lube.

Use

My hubby and I have tried many different lubes and this one by far outshines the rest. Its great for anal play and as an extra lube for vaginal play. My skin is super sensitive so we have to be careful where scents, flavoring, and dyes come in, and we don't have to worry about that with Maximus. All around this lube is one of the best on the market, and you can't complain about the price. This product would work beautifully for just about anyone.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

It comes in a nice little pump bottle which makes application easy and quick. It's not sticky but doesn't run all over. There isn't any greasy after feeling that can happen with most other lubes.

I love that this does not have any taste so you don't get a weird funky aftertaste if you happen to get it in your mouth. There isn't any smell which is also nice. It's really nice to not have the smell of lube hanging in the air.

Performance

I am amazed at how well this cleans up. There isn't any staining if you happen to get it anywhere other than your body. It lasts a nice long time for extended play. It works safely with all of the toys we have which run in the glass and silicone varieties. It cleans up nicely with just water if that's all you have on hand. I absolutely loved everything about this product. We bought it to give it a try after having so many failures before. It fills every need we had. I wanted something that didn't smell, didn't taste funny, that lasted long enough for us to play without having to add more lube every three minutes, and it is not staining which we've had happen in the past. All around its a lovely product.

    • I know most people absolutely love this lube, but when I try to use it, it feels like my genitals are on fire! Could it be due to the parabens? Any thoughts, or any recommendations for another thicker water-based lubricant?
    • I'm not sure if it's kosher to mention a competitor's product here, but BabeLube is a wonderful water-based lube that's comparable in thickness to Maximus.
    • Maximus is my go-to lube. I have very sensitive skin and have never had a problem with it.

    • Two negative things I've seen written are that it has a bitter aftertaste and it does peel off, dry, and need to be washed off.

      Positives and opposites I've heard are that it has a natural tasteless feel similar to saliva, and it is a thicker lubricant. Also the pump looks like a great feature that makes this product less messy.

      I would like to try it for myself, and wonder if it is really the go-to lube for me, and for others like me.
    • This is my favorite water-based lube, hands down and without a doubt. It's pretty thick (ideal for backdoor fun). I've fallen asleep with it on my hands and don't wake up with fuzzy or sticky palms (until they get wet, then it reactivates).

      Maximus is my go to lube, rarely use anything else. It is slightly bitter but not bothersome. It is thicker and also works very well for anal. I never feel the need to wash it off unless I overdue in the heat of passion.
      Try it! Don't think U will be disappointed....:)

    • Does Maximus come in any other size bottles? I feel like 8 oz. would be a lot for me to use before it goes bad. Also, it seems like a big bottle to store somewhere discrete.
    • It really isn't very big - I have mine it a bedside drawer. Maximus is so thick that you don't have to worry about it leaking unless you really press on the bottle. If my mind isn't playing tricks on me, the bottle is about 2-3/4" in diameter and 4-1/2 to 5 inches tall (including pump), and I think it's closer to 4.5

      I think mine's good to 2013 or something (I'm not at home now, but I can check later), so I wouldn't worry about it going bad
