Best Lubricant Aroma Ever!

If you are searching for a flavored lubricant that tastes and smells good, but is a good lubricant too, try Aroma! It is an excellent lubricant that lasts long and feels slick. It also doesn't get as sticky as others and won't leave you feeling icky.

Use

Scented lubricants often make me feel ill after a while and it is usually even worse if they are flavored too. It is hard to find a good lubricant that claims to have both a good taste and great aroma. Shunga Erotic's Aroma lubricant really has both properties and even better, is an awesome lubricant. For a water based, I was very impressed with the consistency and even more so by the longevity. Flavored lubricant's often get sticky or tacky, but Aroma stays much slicker til the bitter... err ...sweet end!

Unfortunatly, this lubricant contains ingredients that are great for most but not the best for some. It contains glycerin which has been linnked to increasing the frequency of UTI's and yeast infections in women who are prone to them. I however am not, so this wasn't a concern of mine. It is still safe for the body because it is free of petroleum and petro-chemicals. It is also safe for use with all condoms types. For those with concerns, here are the ingredients: Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene, Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Aroma, PEG 5M, Sucralose, Methyl paraben

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Toko Aroma is slicker than most water based lubricants that I have tried. It is very smooth and is thicker than what you might expect. It resembles the feeling of a silicone lubricant is some aspects. I also was impressed with the fact that it isn't gummy or sticky, like a lot of sweet tasting lubricants are. This formula is superb! It also blends nicely with my natural juices and if it starts to feel sticky after a while, just use spit or water to rejuvenate the smoothness.

Taste / Aroma

Shunga Erotic uses a lot of the same flavors and scents for their product choices. The Aroma lubricant comes in the following varieties: Strawberries & champagne, Cherry, Fruit, Mango/Melon, Tangerines & cream, or Grape. I have quite a few of their products and have liked the Strawberries & Champagne flavor, so that is what I got this time around too. The smell is so fruity and sweet. One small drop beginning to be blended into the skin can be smelled quite strongly. I love this aroma! Thank God it is edible because it smells so good I want to eat it! While it doesn't taste as good as it smells, it does taste sweet and makes for a good flavored lubricant without a bad aftertaste. Even hours after spreading the small drop on my hand it smelled of strawberries.

Performance

This is best for vaginal sex and then if you want to, oral sex afterward. It lasted a really long time and I was impressed with this as well as the fact that it didn't get any where near as sticky as other flavored lubricants. It rarely needed to be reapplied. In the past, my partner hasn't liked the flavored lubricants for the most part. This one he didn't mind. It also makes your junk smell good! This isn't good for anal toys or sex, but if you like rimming, this can be used for that too.

Like I said, it doesn't get near as sticky as other flavored lubricants do, but it still should be washed off after use, especially because of the glycerin.

Packaging

There is very generous amount of lubricant in the bottle, especially for a flavored lubricant. With us, these don't get used as often. Regardless, it should last you a long time. The bottle is 5.5 fluid ounces (165ml) and is very pretty while remaining somewhat discreet. The front says Toko and lubricant, but in small lettering. The bottle is clear plastic which is easy to squeeze. The flip top is sometimes hard to open and close though. Make sure it snaps if you are traveling or laying it down.
    • Easy to use / dispense
    • Recyclable
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

I am giving Shunga's Aroma lubricant 5 stars. For a flavored lubricant, it is excellent! It smells great and tastes good if you like fruit. There are a lot of flavors to choose from though! It lasts a long time and is very slick. It still requires some clean up, but won't leave you feeling gross.
Follow-up commentary
This is still my favorite flavored lubricant! I wish I could use it more often so that I could justify trying a new flavor! I still have not gotten sick of the taste though which I really thought I would. It has not ever caused any irritation and has remained slick and smooth during sex and solo play. It gets used for oral most often, especially since we like to have oral in the middle of sex. It is perfect for that!

  • Toko aroma formula: Sugar?
    • Does it contain sugar, because it sounds lovely, but sugar causes yeast infections.

The ingredients for this product, as listed under the overview tab, are:

Aqua, Glycerin, Propylene, Glycol, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Aroma, PEG 5M, Sucralose, Methyl paraben.

Glycerin has been mentioned by many as a possible contributor to yeast infections but the jury may still be out on that one. I'd say if you are prone to frequent infections, consider it carefully, but if you never get them, you may be just fine.

Sucralose is Splenda, a zero calorie sweetener that shouldn't have any impact on yeast growth.

You are correct, that Sucralose is a zero calorie (for humans) sweetener. It is based on sugar, however, so it is possible that some yeast could eat it, although I have not heard of such at this time.
