Maximus - lubricant discontinued by Bodywise Limited - review by Pooter

I've used this with my wife for handjobs, vaginal and anal intercourse, and I've also used it with my Fleshlight. It's worked very well in every role. As my wife warns me when I get the bottle out, "A little goes a long way!"

This is the thickest lube I've used, of any type. One squirt from the pump will generally stay right where it's landed. It still "feels thick" after application, too - not the thin-feeling slipperiness of lesser water-based lubes, but not quite the delightful ease of silicone lube. That's definitely a compliment, as it feels much more natural than most we've tried.

There's not much of a smell (or taste, I guess...I don't eat lube!) to Maximus, which is exactly what we want. The few times I've gotten a taste of it was slightly sweet, with a somewhat unpleasant aftertaste, but not bad. It's not meant for tasting though.

This is the best, longest lasting water-based lube we've used, and we've tried a lot of them. Only a small amount is ever needed for vaginal and it always lasts longer than I do! More is needed for anal of course, though the same applies - it lasts for as long as we need it to.
Fleshlight use is another story, however. I find that I'll need to re-apply once or twice in a session to keep the feeling as close to the real thing as possible. I've read that's a common function of the Fleshlight, and found re-applications to be necessary when I still used Liquid Silk as well. I don't think I can detract at all for not performing perfectly in this case.

Maximus is packaged in a clear plastic bottle with a pump top, which I love. It makes measuring how much to use (1/2 squeeze for vaginal, 2 squeezes for anal, 1 to start for Fleshlight) so much easier than a squeeze top, and is a lot neater too. Plus it's a lot easier to dispense in the midst of the action, without needing to worry about removing a cap or being concerned it'll fall over and leak everywhere.

I think what makes this lube special is it does exactly what it's supposed to, and nothing more. It does exactly what I want, and nothing I don't want it to. Perfect.
